The TGMC has announced that legal action will be taken against the accused individuals under Sections 34 and 54 of the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019. These sections address the illegal practice of medicine and related offences, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges against the fake doctors. The TGMC’s enforcement of this Act highlights its commitment to upholding these standards and protecting public health.
“Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs) and Paramedical Practitioners (PMPs) lack the necessary qualifications and should not be practicing medicine,” Dr Srinivas Gundagani stated, according to The Hindu.
