20 Stars We’re Excited To See At MEGACON Orlando

MegaCon Orlando is back, and there are loads of stars we’re excited to see. MegaCon 2025 will kick off on Thursday, February 6 and end on Sunday, February 9. With four incredible days of panels, activities, and meet and greet opportunities, MegaCon attendees are keen to find out who the best guests are this year. The biggest names from the best TV shows of all time, blockbuster movies, and the comic book and anime industries are set to appear at MegaCon 2025.

MegaCon 2025 will also see several celebrities reunite after working on projects together, with several huge actors from Doctor Who, Supernatural, and Scooby-Doo all due to appear. At this time, the schedule for MegaCon 2025 is still under wraps, but the convention should release this shortly. With so many things to do and famous faces to see, it’s worth breaking down the most exciting stars who will be at this year’s MegaCon.

1 Matt Smith

Doctor Who, House Of The Dragon

While many remember Matt Smith from their childhoods, with his role as the Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who launching his career, the actor is better known nowadays as Daemon Targaryen in House of the Dragon. The British actor is also due to star in the upcoming TV adaptation of Nick Cave’s novel, The Death of Bunny Munro, as the titular character.

Many are excited to see Smith appear at MegaCon. While Smith is used to attending conventions like these, considering his prominence in science fiction and fantasy TV shows, it’s still brilliant to see him come to Orlando this year to interact with viewers.

2 Millie Bobby Brown

Stranger Things, Godzilla

Millie Bobby Brown’s movies and TV shows are more popular than ever right now. The British actress is best known as Eleven in Stranger Things, but she is also popular for portraying the titular character in Enola Holmes and its sequel, as well as Madison Russell in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong.

It’s likely that MegaCon attendees will be keen to ask Brown questions about the release of Stranger Things season 5, considering there is no confirmed date for the final installment of the show yet. However, hopefully the actress can provide audiences with some juicy details about the upcoming season.

3 Ron Howard

Happy Days, Arrested Development, A Beautiful Mind

Filmmaker, writer, and actor Ron Howard is due to attend MegaCon 2025, too. The two-time Oscar winner is remembered for his beginnings as Opie Taylor in the 1960s sitcom The Andy Griffith Show, before moving on to portray Richie Cunningham in Happy Days and Steve Bolander in American Graffiti. He has also directed several massive hits, including Grand Theft Auto, Cocoon, and A Beautiful Mind.

In recent years, Howard is known for narrating the lives of the Bluth family in Arrested Development, and later starring in the show as himself. While he has a fictional daughter in Arrested Development, Howard’s actual child, Bryce Dallas Howard, will also be attending MegaCon.

4 Jared Padalecki

Supernatural, Gilmore Girls

Jared Padalecki’s prominence mainly comes from his portrayal of the youngest son of Mary and John, Sam, an integral member of Supernatural’s Winchester family. However, some viewers may remember Padalecki as Rory’s first love, Dean Forester, in Gilmore Girls.

Jared Padalecki will also star in The Boys season 5, and hopefully he’ll reunite with his Supernatural co-star and on-screen brother, Jensen Ackles. Audiences will be desperate to hear Padalecki discuss his time on the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series of all time, and with the actor starring in an incredible 327 episodes of the show, there’s plenty for him to talk about.

5 Nicholas Hoult

Skins, X-Men, Superman, Nosferatu

Nicholas Hoult is one of the greatest British Hollywood actors right now, with his career spanning several decades. One of Hoult’s earliest and most prominent roles is as Tony Stonem in Skins, but he has now made a name for himself in the X-Men series as Hank McCoy, the latest incarnation of Lex Luthor in Superman, and Thomas Hutter in Nosferatu.

Considering Hoult is so popular in the very different worlds of superheroes and horror, it’s likely the actor will be rather busy at this year’s MegaCon. It’s hoped that he will share more stories about working with Bill Skarsgård in Nosferatu, as well as what to expect from the upcoming James Gunn Superman movie at some of the event’s panels.

6 Matthew Lillard

Scream, Scooby-Doo, Five Nights At Freddy's

Matthew Lillard is a ‘90s and 2000s icon who is best known for bringing the character of Shaggy to life in the live-action Scooby-Doo movies. The actor is also remembered for playing Stu in the first Scream movie, but in recent years, Lillard is better known for his portrayal of killer William Afton in Five Nights at Freddy’s and the upcoming sequel.

There are plenty of panels happening across all four days at MegaCon 2025, and hopefully Lillard will speak at one about his character’s fate in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. Of course, many will want Lillard to spark some nostalgia as well, and discuss how Scooby-Doo and Scream are such important parts of his successful career.

7 Ella Purnell

Fallout, Arcane, Yellowjackets, Star Trek: Prodigy

Ella Purnell’s movies and TV shows are skyrocketing at the moment, and the actress is currently best known for playing Lucy in the Fallout TV show. While she is also known as Jackie Taylor in Yellowjackets, Purnell is also a prominent voice actress, taking on the roles of Jinkx in Arcane and Gwyndala in Star Trek: Prodigy.

Following a successful 2024, Ella Purnell’s upcoming movies and TV show projects are creating quite the buzz. The next installments of Fallout and Arcane are both on the way, and the actress is also starring in the new comedy movie The Scurry, too. Unfortunately, Purnell will only be at MegaCon on the Saturday, so fans will need to be quick to meet her.

8 Katey Sagal

The Conners, Married... With Children, Futurama, Sons Of Anarchy

Sitcom legend Katey Sagal is due to appear on the weekend days of MegaCon. The actress is best known for playing Peggy Bundy in Married... with Children, Gemma Teller Morrow in Sons of Anarchy, Louise Goldufski-Conner in The Conners, and voicing Turanga Leela in Futurama. Her career is full of brilliant titles, although Sagal’s role in Sons of Anarchy is the one that stands out the most.

With The Conners season 7 due to air in 2025, the last installment of the show, Sagal’s name is cropping up more and more. However, it’s likely that MegaCon attendees will want to discuss some of the most shocking moments in Sons of Anarchy, considering Gemma is easily the most prominent character of Sagal’s.

9 Christopher Mintz-Plasse

Superbad, Kick-Ass, How To Train Your Dragon

Christopher Mintz-Plasse is most notably remembered as Superbad’s funniest character, Fogell, a personality that stands out in the actor’s filmography. While Mintz-Plasse is always going to be seen as Superbad’s McLovin, he is also known for his role as Chris D'Amico/Red Mist in Kick-Ass, and for lending his voice to the character of Fishlegs Ingerman in the How to Train Your Dragon movies.

Although Mintz-Plasse doesn’t have any known upcoming projects to talk about, there are plenty of past anecdotes he can share at MegaCon. Tales about Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s movies with Chloe Grace Moretz, filming Superbad as a minor, and his voice acting career are all great content for the actor to cover in MegaCon’s panels, and hopefully attendees will get to learn more about him in general.

10 Henry Winkler

Happy Days, Parks And Recreation, Arrested Development, Barry

Henry Winkler is a timeless icon, who is most famous for jumping the shark in Happy Daysas the brilliant Fonzie. The Emmy and Golden Globe winner is also known for playing useless attorney Barry Zuckerkorn in Arrested Development, sneaky obstetrician Dr. Saperstein in Parks and Recreation, and most recently, as acting coach Gene Cousineau in Barry.

Winkler has decades of experience and fans of several different projects to meet with. His career doesn’t tend to falter, and it’s never long before Winkler appears as yet another hilarious character in a new TV show. Thankfully, the actor will be at MegaCon on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which gives attendees plenty of time to get an autograph or photo with him.
