90 Day Fiancé's Michael Ilesanmi Surprises By Revealing Who His Mentor Is In America
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Michael Ilesanmi is thanking his secret American mentor as he celebrates a year of living in the country after his split with Angela Deem. Michael came to the U.S. in December 2023. His visa had been approved after seven years of being together with Angela. Michael lived in Nigeria when he contacted Angela on Facebook in 2017. Angela signed up for Before the 90 Days season 2, in which she went to meet Michael for the first time. Michael stayed with Angela long enough for his American dream to turn into a reality.
Michael lived with Angela in her Hazlehurst house for two months. He escaped Georgia in February 2024 and has since been living in Texas with his new family.
Michael doesn’t share too many details about who his friends in the U.S. are, but they helped him reach Texas safely and escape Angela, who he claimed was mistreating him and subjecting him to alleged abuse which he couldn’t continue to bear. Interestingly, Michael and Angela do have one thing they can agree upon, and it’s their love for President-elect Donald Trump. Michael took to Instagram to share a screengrab of a 90 Day Fiancé episode showing him saying, “I’m coming to see you.” He captioned it, “Thank you my Business mentor” and tagged @realdonaldtrump in his Story.

When Angela went to meet Michael in Nigeria, Michael got a Make America Great Again hat that Angela thought looked great on her then-boyfriend. She gave him a T-shirt that read “Donald 2016 Trump Make America Great Again." She also surprised Michael with a bobblehead. Michael liked the “whole package” as Angela declared, “I’ll Trump you up” and jumped on Michael. It was then that Michael told the cameras that Donald Trump was his “business mentor” and that he “loved the words… Make America Great Again.” During her second visit to Nigeria, Angela gifted Michael Donald Trump boxers.
Michael and Angela are both ardent admirers of incoming President Trump. It’s not surprising that they have both agreed on one thing since their split in February, and it was Trump. Angela and Michael both posted on Instagram expressing their thanks to him for postponing the ban on TikTok. He asked tech companies not to let TikTok stay dark and announced that he plans to issue an executive order on Monday to delay the enforcement of the TikTok ban for 90 days.
