90 Day Fiancé Season 11: Where Is Mahdi Originally From? (How Did He Meet Stevi Nichole From Hattiesburg, Mississippi?)
90 Day Fiancé has a brand-new couple – Mahdi and Stevi Nichole -that’s reunited in the U.S. despite a major struggle.90 Day Fiancé season 11 has just premiered. It introduced seven couples to the series, including three returning couples from previous spin-offs. Apart from fan favorites such as Sarper Güven and Shekinah Garner coming back to continue their storylines, fans have also met Mahdi and Stevi. In the coming episodes, he will experience a wave of homesickness, and the couple will need to find a way to balance their love while he adjusts to life in the States.
When talking to her father about her relationship with Mahdi, Stevi said, “The country he's from is not that good. The government is not good, the people are good.” While her father added that they “hated America,” Stevi said that Mahdi obviously didn’t hate her. Stevi being confident of her love for 90 Day Fiancé star Mahdi, had decided to follow through. Mahdi had told her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Stevi hails from Mississippi and revealed in the premiere that painting is her passion, but unfortunately, it doesn’t pay the bills.
Stevi Met Mahdi While Teaching Him English
Mahdi Was An Enthusiastic Student
Stevi is a single mom of two kids with a mortgage who also teaches English online. She had students from all over the world. Some of them learned English for their jobs while some were trying to travel to the U.S. However, there was one man who was unlike any other student. Stevi mentioned how Mahdi stood out from her other students, appearance-wise, because he was very “intimidating” to look at. The way he came overly prepared and was the only student who showed up with a list of questions to ask Stevi, grabbed her attention.
“And not only that, but Mahdi's connection was the worst of all of the students I've ever had."
It was rough since they couldn't finish sentences because the connection was just always cutting off, and then he would come back on. Sometime after she finished teaching Mahdi, he sent her a link to his social media page. He appeared shirtless in his photos and had “tons of girls” following him. Stevi said she would never date someone like him, but they continued to talk.
Mahdi Is From Tehran, Iran
Mahdi & Stevi Met In Turkey
Stevi mentioned that Mahdi was from Tehran. When Mahdi and Stevi started developing feelings for each other, a lot was going on in the news. It would not have been safe for her to travel to Iran. Turkey was one of the only places that Mahdi could actually travel to. Mahdi lives in a country where they can't physically hug in public and do things like that, but their physical connection was magnetic. The minute that we were alone after only physically being together for one week, Maddie proposed to Stevi by handing her a ring.
Mahdi Moved To Mississippi
Does Mahdi Still Live In Hattiesburg?
Mahdi’s K-1 visa was approved after a year of waiting. Waiting for this visa has been one of the most stressful 12 months of Stevi’s life. She explained how anybody who's in a long-distance relationship has to deal with a lot of difficulties, but they also have the added stress because their “two countries don’t like each other.” Mahdi and Stevi were not able to exchange gifts, not able to send mail, and also Mahdi’s country is constantly banning connections with Stevi’s country. Still, Mahdi was able to join Stevi in the U.S. in 90 Day Fiancé season 11.
