A Year Later, Some Disney Dreamlight Valley Players Are Still Stuck On This Quest, And Gameloft's Advice Offers No Help
Some Disney Dreamlight Valley players are still struggling with Buzz's alien toys quest, over a year after it was added to the game. The title is known for being a relaxing, cozy life simulator that lets players interact with their favorite Disney characters. These characters often send players out on quests, and one quest in particular is giving players some trouble despite being implemented in January 2024.
The friendship quest is given to players by Buzz Lightyear, and tasks them with finding 25 toy aliens three times, with each focused on a specific location. However, players like the Redditor elentari_ii are"fed up" with the quest line after being stuck with it for a while. The DDV player was so frustrated that they reached out to developer Gameloft for a hint on how to finally finish the quest.
Buzz's Aliens Quest In Dreamlight Valley Takes Some Players Months To Complete
The Aliens Don't All Spawn At Once
The trouble with the Aliens quest is that not all the toys appear at once, and they can spawn anywhere in either the Valley or their designated quest area. Although the quests ask for 25 toys to be found, only a few appear per day and new ones will only appear once all the current toys are found. This mechanic can cause the quest to stretch on for a long time, as the comments on the Reddit thread reveal. Fellow fans report spending anywhere between a week and a few months looking for the little green toys.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Star Paths Are Ruining The Game
While Disney Dreamlight Valley is traditionally referred to as a cozy game, the struggle to complete Star Paths has made it feel anything but.
The issue that the original poster is having is specifically with the final version of the quest, titled "Collect 'Em All: Attic Mode." In this specific quest, the alien toys are supposed to show up in the Dream Castle and Remy's Restaurant. Unfortunately, it seems that Gameloft did not understand this part of the fan's question, since their response suggests removing furniture or foliage, or waiting until night-time, neither of which are useful for the indoor locations where the toys are supposed to spawn.

The Best Advice Is To Listen, Not Look
Although Gameloft's repsonse is not very useful for this particular player's issue, the DDV community has stepped up to help a fellow fan. The comments section has several bits of advice that might be helpful to anyone still having trouble locating the pesky toys for Buzz's quest.
Players stuck on an earlier iteration of the quest, when the toys could show up anywhere in the Valley, can ask Buzz "What do I do again?" to receive a hint about where to check. You can also use the aerial view to see the space from above, which is mentioned in the response and does sometimes help.
Another helpful tip is to turn down all the sounds except sound effects and follow the sparkle sound. This sound plays for all things that "sparkle," ie can be interacted with, and is an extremely helpful way to find where that one final elusive toy is hidden. Sometimes, it just takes some patience and creative thinking to complete the quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
