After Playing A Terrifying Terminator, Timothy Olyphant Is About To Debut In Another Iconic Sci-Fi Franchise
Shortly after he voiced a terrifying killer robot in Terminator Zero, Timothy Olyphant is set to star in another major sci-fi franchise that may put him in a similar role. Timothy Olyphant recently voiced the main Terminator in the English dub of Terminator Zero, an anime spinoff show. Terminator Zero is far from the first time Olyphant has joined an esteemed science fiction franchise, however. He's already starred in Star Wars as Cobb Vanth in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, and some of Timothy Olyphant's best movies and shows were part of other massive franchises, like Hitman.
Now, one of Olyphant's upcoming projects will put him in the middle of another sci-fi juggernaut. Olyphant recently joined Anya Taylor-Joy's series Lucky, where he'll be playing a con-man, which is exciting in its own right. Lucky is also a rare villain role for Olyphant, who is best known for playing lawmen in shows like Justified or Deadwood. As exciting as Lucky is, however, Timothy Olyphant's role in Alien: Earth is even more anticipated, partly because it has the potential to be just as good as his performance in Terminator Zero.

After Terminator, Timothy Olyphant Is Set To Join The Massive Alien Franchise
One of Timothy Olyphant's upcoming projects will introduce him to another massive sci-fi franchise: Alien. Olyphant was cast in the upcoming prequel spinoff show Alien: Earth when it was first announced. He'll also star alongside some major names like Sydney Chandler and Alex Lawther. Now, as the show's summer 2025 release date draws nearer, Alien: Earth is coming just after Olyphant joined the Terminator franchise. Not much is known about Olyphant's character in Alien: Earth, aside from his name being Kirsh. According to some rumors, however, Olyphant may be playing a very similar character to the Terminator.
I Hope These Rumors About Timothy Olyphant’s Alien Character Are True
Olyphant Is Rumored To Be Playing An Android In Alien: Earth
Some rumors claim that Timothy Olyphant's Alien: Earth character, Kirsh, is an android (via Deadline). Kirsh is described as "a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for [Sydney] Chandler’s Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult." There's no telling whether Kirsh will be a hero or villain in Alien: Earth, but if he does turn out to be evil, Timothy Olyphant's role in Terminator Zero already proved how well he can play an unsettling murderous robot. He's basically already played the role brilliantly, which is great news for Alien: Earth.

Timothy Olyphant's New TV Show Is Super Exciting Thanks To This Incredible 21-Year Streak His HBO Western Started
Timothy Olyphant has had an incredible 21-year streak with television since Deadwood, and his two upcoming shows should be able to continue it.
Another reason the prospect of Timothy Olyphant playing an android is so exciting is because of the other androids in the Alien franchise. Michael Fassbender played two separate androids - David in Prometheus and Alien: Covenant and Walter in Covenant. Likewise, Ian Holm played Ash in the original Alien, and his likeness was used for Rook in Alien: Romulus. If Timothy Olyphant does play an android in Alien: Earth, that could open the door to him playing other synthetic characters in future Alien movies and shows, just as Fassbender played two different androids already. With any luck, Timothy Olyphant could become a staple of the Alien franchise.
