Bluff Trail at Chimney Bluffs Will Be Closed This Summer

Officials shuttered the popular trail after erosion made hiking the bluffs too dangerous.

The Bluff Trail at Chimney Bluffs State Park will be closed this summer, park officials announced this week, after erosion on the steep mud cliffs made hiking too dangerous. Rangers plan to re-route the trail, a project that they say won’t be finished until at least 2019.
