California Cracks Down on Illegal Pot Grows, Pesticides

Illegal marijuana growing projects on California public lands have been a problem for decades, but in recent years, the Mexican drug cartels officials say are running many operations have begun using a highly toxic pesticide that is poisoning state wildlife. Officials announced a new crackdown on the pot operations this week to protect the national forests’ ecosystems.
