Chicago’s notorious diagonal intersections are frustrating for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike–but as a new artistic map shows, they’re also visually fascinating. Seattle artist Peter Gorman’s cycling trip across the country a few years ago inspired him to make art out of the U.S.’s odd road junctions. In his view, Belmont, Lincoln, and Ashland resembles a snowflake, and Clark, Ridge, and Thorndale looks like a couple dancing.
