A fan-favorite DC Comics writer isn't going anywhere as the publisher announces the latest creator its made an exclusive deal with. DC Comics has a history of offering exclusive contracts to big-name and really in-demand writers and artists. But who's the latest talent DC Comics has struck this exciting bargain with?

This week, DC Comics revealed that it has offered a multi-year deal with Jeremy Adams, writer of Aquaman and Green Lantern, as well as co-writer of Green Lantern Corps. This offer follows Adams' fan-favorite run on The Flash, as well as his tie-in material in big events like Dark Crisis and Absolute Power.

Even before Jeremy Adams was helping build up the Prime DC Universe, he was putting his love of DC in other capacities. Adams has previously written for television series such as Young Justice and Justice League Action. He's also worked on movies such as Batman: Soul of the Dragon and Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons. But Adams' really got to show what he was made of when he started writing The Flash, which not only put Wally West back in the spotlight, but gave fans a wholesome, fun adventure starring the Scarlet Speedster and his family.

Jeremy Adams' exclusive offer follows a similar deal made with Detective Comics' Tom Taylor, and it's no real surprise. Adams has brought a real joy and passion to the characters he's written and he's clearly got a huge love for the universe. Fans have also really taken to Adams' work, loving the loving atmosphere of The Flash or the intriguing action of Green Lantern. It's smart for DC Comics to capitalize on the positivity surrounding Adams and lock him down now. Someone as passionate and talented as Adams is a real asset that DC should invest in.

Adams has proven that he's got the chops to handle whatever properties he works with. While he's probably still got a lot of ideas he wants to work on in Green Lantern or Aquaman, DC should strongly consider giving him some of the bigger toys to play with. Adams deep knowledge of DC lore and his charming writing style would be great on a Batman or Superman-related title, possibly even a Justice League Unlimited spin-off or side series or even a big summer event.

Whatever he's got coming down the pipeline, Jeremy Adams has earned this exclusive offer. Not only is he a hard worker, he's someone who cares about the stories and the fans and has consistently been one of the best writers working at DC Comics today. Hopefully, DC Comics will make the most out of this contract and let Adams really flourish as he continues to add to the DCU.
