Everything We Know About Death Stranding 2

Norman Reedus returns for his role as Sam in Death Stranding 2. Reedus will be accompanied by several A-list actors, including:

  • Léa Seydoux Fragile
  • George Miller as Tarman
  • Troy Baker as Higgs
  • Elle Fanning as Tomorrow
  • Fatih Akin as Dollman
  • Shioli Kutsuna as Rainy
  • Alastair Duncan as The President
  • Alissa Jung as Lucy
  • Bicolas Winding Refn as Heartman
  • Luca Marinelli as Neil
  • Debra Wilson as Doctor
  • And Charlie. Just Charlie.

Sam's journey will take him through a large and diverse open world, which is shown off in the trailer, along with exciting battles and some new methods of traversal. Players will have to piece together a sci-fi story that's as compelling as it is bizarre (this is, after all, a Kojima production).

Death Stranding 2 Sets A Smart Release Date

A June Release Ensures The Game Won't Be Competing For Attention

Death Stranding 2: At the Beach is scheduled to release on June 26, which is a smart move on Kojima Productions' part. A June release date avoids some of the biggest game releases of the year, Borderlands 4 and Grand Theft Auto 6. The Borderlands title has a September release date, while GTA 6 still has no set release date but it scheduled in general for "late 2025."

Although all three games are different genres, it's a great idea to launch sooner, to give each title its own breathing room. And it seems like On The Beach will need some time for players to sink into the intricate, post-apocalyptic, and often strange world of the United Cities of America. Judging by the lengthy preorder trailer, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has a compelling story to tell and an incredible cast of characters to tell it.
