With a plethora of compelling roles in her career, Dilraba Dilmurat is arguably the queen of Chinese drama. Whether it’s a fantasy romance or a historical epic, the young actor shines in every project she graces with her presence, both on the big and small screen. Born in Ürümqi Xinjiang, China, Dilmurat began as a student of the performing arts at just nine years old, when she attended Xinjiang Art Middle School. There she learned to dance and sing, and later majored in drama, film, and television at the Shanghai Theater Academy.

Dilmurat’s acting debut in 2013 was in the TV miniseries, Arnahan, but it was her starring role in the 2017 fantasy romance serial Eternal Love that earned her international claim. Don’t let the title fool you — this film is nothing like a Jane Austen romance. Mr. Pride Vs. Miss Prejudice is an over-the-top romantic comedy with cartoonish humor and zany antics, including plenty of slapstick and downright absurd silliness. After graduating at the top of her class in law school, An Ni goes on to impress everyone by joining the office of China’s most prestigious public prosecutors. Rather suddenly, An Ni is transferred to a new department, with the higher-ups hoping that she will provide a fresh new perspective. Taking on unique cyber-crime cases, An Ni partners up with police captain He Lu Yuan, a cold and abrasive cop who has grown complacent after several years on the job.

Although Prosecution Elite may not be an action-packed drama on par with lawyer shows like Law and Order, it’s the superb acting from the cast that keeps the viewers at the edge of their seats. Playing a very different kind of role than her previous projects, Dilmurat shows her wide talent range as An Ni, and Dewai Tong does an excellent portrayal of the beleaguered yet determined policeman, He Lu Yuan.

A tear-jerking fantasy drama, Dilraba plays Tong Tong in Namiya,the story of three young people who decide to hide out in an abandoned general store after committing an act of vandalism. Mysteriously, the group receives a series of letters from a magic mailbox, asking for advice from the shop’s former owner, an elderly man named Namiya. They decide to write back to the letters’ authors, pretending to be Namiya.

Within the letters, the three friends offer advice on love, life, and hardship. Much to their surprise, the letters they receive turn out to be written 20 years ago. Also starring Jackie Chan, Namiya is a bittersweet and magical journey that takes an optimistic view of humanity and the connections people make. Dilraba is impressive in her role as Tong Tong, rounding out an ensemble cast of talented performers.

When Emperor Ying Zheng first sets eyes on Gongsun Li, the beautiful granddaughter of a military commander, he must have her as his bride. However, Li only agrees to marry the emperor to save the life of her lover, Jing Ke. Things take an even more complex turn when Li discovers that she is pregnant with Jing Ke’s child.

Filled with beautiful costumes, high-action martial arts, and classic drama, The King’s Woman not only explores a pivotal time in China’s history, but provides loads of entertainment that will have viewers binge-watching the whole series. A fantasy drama set in ancient China, the story of The Flame’s Daughter centers around three martial arts sects in a deadly rivalry. Dilmurat stars as Lie Ruge, the daughter of Lie Mingjing and heiress to the Liehuo Pavillion. Along with her true love, Zhan Feng, and loyal friend, Yu Zihan, Ruge must earn her birthright before the wicked An Ye Luo of Anhe Palace makes them all suffer. When both Ruge and Feng learn the secrets of their pasts, it creates a rift between them that has Feng breaking off from the woman he loves in favor of revenge.

From the producers and some of the same cast of Eternal Love,The Flame’s Daughter drew in viewers with the promise of high-quality drama, and it certainly delivered. Stylistic martial arts scenes, romantic angst, and plenty of family drama round out this epic series that Dilmurat fans shouldn’t miss.

Dilmurat plays a fashion designer in this romantic drama TV series about two career professionals butting heads in the workplace who inevitably fall for one another. Zhou Fang dreams of breaking out as an established creator of high-end clothing, but a commercial lawsuit forces her to partner with the rude and stubborn Song Lin, the head of an e-commerce company.

The two go from being constantly at odds to warming up to one another, as Lin can’t help but fall for Fang’s sweetness and charm, and Fang is drawn to Lin’s more vulnerable side.
