Dragon Ball Daima Could Very Easily Revive Super, and I Know Why It Should

Dragon Ball Daima has proven time and time again to be one of the greatest additions to Akira Toriyama’s beloved franchise in the last couple of years. The show was a breath of fresh air for the series, introducing new characters, themes, and revelations that have changed how the fanbase sees its world forever.

Nonetheless, one of the main doubts fans have about this latest entry is the fact that it still does not perfectly fit with the rest of the timeline. Moreover, there is still no clear connection to the Dragon Ball Super series. Yet, the series still has an opportunity to link its story with the sequel, making a truly perfect tribute to Toriyama’s work.

Daima’s Final Episode Could Connect the Series With Super

A Post-Credits Scene Could Clear All Doubts

The Dragon Ball Daima anime gave fans a chance to see their favorite characters once again before the events of the Super series. Just a few years after Majin Buu was finally defeated, Goku and his friends were turned into kids, forced to travel to the mysterious Demon Realm if they ever wanted to go back to normal. The show, while not as popular as its sequel, did give the franchise the boost in relevance it needed since the beginning of the long and frustrating manga hiatus.

The anime has been a truly enjoyable and memorable adventure, with many fans going as far as to consider it a perfect continuation of Goku’s adventures during the Z era. Nevertheless, there still has not been a clear connection between this latest entry and the story of the Dragon Ball Super series. Understandably, several viewers are concerned about the show fitting nicely into the timeline, as well as explaining how the Z warriors' quest in the Demon Realm led to the events of the sequel.

Dragon Ball Daima finally delivered on the promise offered by all its powerful warriors in the latest episode, leading to an epic moment.

There is a simple and exciting idea that has been gaining popularity among the fanbase over the last few weeks, one that could link both series: Moro being introduced in a post-credits scene. Fans who have read the Super manga know that Goku’s next challenge is a battle against the planet-eating criminal, who has many traits that link him to the Demon Realm. By showing Moro at the end of Daima, the series would not only seamlessly connect its story with the sequel, but it would also create hype among fans for the return of the sequel.

Moro Could Help Super Bring Back the Demon Realm

Fans Wonder Why This Dimension Was Never Brought up Again

One of the main questions raised by the Dragon Ball Daima anime series is why the Demon Realm, which seems to be a vital part of the multiverse, was never mentioned in the sequel. None of the events of this latest show were ever brought up again by the heroes during Super, despite how life-changing it seems to have been for them. Memorable moments like Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 transformation, which might already have an explanation for being missing in the future, must have left a mark on the characters.

Still, the fact that they are never spoken about makes many fans believe that Daima is not canon to the Super timeline. The show could easily correct this by introducing Moro at the end of the series, implying that there is a connection between these characters. Ever since this imposing villain was introduced, readers have speculated that he had some sort of connection to characters like Dabura, who are confirmed to be demons. This might imply that Moro was once an inhabitant of the Demon Realm.

Dragon Ball Daima has made Gomah into a powerful Dragon Ball villain, and it shows how powerful Dabura could have been under better circumstances.

By presenting Moro at the end of the series, maybe still inside Gomah’s domain, the anime could create a direct link between it and its sequel. When the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga is eventually animated, small changes could be made to link Moro back to the Demon Realm. This would not only explain in more detail the already demonic traits of the villain but would also be unmistakable proof that Daima is indeed canon.

The Manga Could Also Reintroduce the Demon Realm

A New Arc Could Take Place Inside This Dangerous Dimension

Even though the simplest way to reference the events of Daima in Super’s timeline would be to link Moro to the Demon Realm, the manga series could also venture further. Followers of this beloved franchise have been wondering when and how the story of Goku’s adventures will continue after the Super Hero Saga. Seeing as no official announcement has been made about the return of the series, implying no new arc has been decided, the manga could send the heroes back to the Demon Realm.

This decision could help the series link back to Daima, something the latest anime desperately needs, and could also serve to expand the lore. The show has already helped fans understand better how the god system works in the world of Dragon Ball, with most deities having been born as demons. Inside the Demon Realm, Goku and his friends could learn about the origin of its multiverse, creators, and even ways to travel to other universes. The Demon Realm is the only dimension directly connected with all alternative worlds, making it a perfect gateway for characters like Jiren to return.

Black Frieza Complicates the Demon Realm’s Introduction

The introduction of the Demon Realm to the Dragon Ball Super continuity is undoubtedly something that would greatly help the series. Nevertheless, the possibility of it occurring soon is not favorable, as the manga already has an unfinished plot point in Black Frieza. After Gas is defeated in chapter #87, his new and most powerful transformation is revealed, implying that he is the ultimate enemy the heroes need to defeat. With Frieza establishing himself as the strongest villain in the franchise, there would be no point in deviating from Goku final battle against him.

Whether the Demon Realm becomes a recurring topic in the Dragon Ball franchise or not, Daima will no doubt continue being praised by fans all over the world. The anime is a perfect homage to Toriyama’s career, and it is an unforgettable story that fans will celebrate for decades to come.
