Dubai Bling: Ebraheem Al Samadi Should Never Have Been Cast (He's A Devious, Temperamental Clout Chaser)
Ebraheem Al Samadi is a moody attention seeker who should never have been cast on Dubai Bling. During the show's third installment, fans were re-introduced to the world of some of Dubai's most unpredictable residents. From heated confrontations to long-running feuds and surprise pregnancy announcements, Ebraheem was at the heart of it all, cementing his role as the show's villain.
Ebraheem had been known as a villain since his season 1 debut, with one of his most memorable and dramatic moments being his confrontation with Zeina Khoury. In a shocking revelation, Ebraheem told Zeina he'd trademarked her company’s name, leaving her stunned. The pair started as friends early in season 1, but by that Dubai Bling season's finale, Ebraheem had turned Dubai Bling's Zeina Khoury into one of his fiercest enemies, even bringing his close friend Danya Mohammed into the conflict.
Ebraheem Snapped Up Zeina's Trademark
He's On A Power Trip
In Dubai Bling season 3, episode 2, Ebraheem paid Zeina a visit at her new real estate office, even bringing a bouquet of flowers to congratulate her. While he was there, he made a shocking revelation, presenting paperwork for the trademark of the name, I Am The Company. That's what Zeina called her business. He snapped up the trademark while he was in the UK. Ebraheem said that he bought the trademark because he was feuding with Zeina.
Later on in the episode, Zeina spoke about the interaction in a confessional, saying that Ebraheem is obsessed with her. While he offered to gift the trademark to her now that they're on good terms, the interaction was upsetting. It was hard to believe he did something so petty while fighting with a castmate. He even made Zeina prove her friendship in further episodes before actually handing over the paperwork.
Ebraheem Has Onscreen Temper Tantrums
He Always Finds A Fight
Ebraheem has been known as the villain for three Dubai Bling seasons, and a big reason for that is his recurring temper tantrums. After he revealed to Zeina that he had purchased her trademark, her husband, Hanna Azzi, called him out in front of everyone. This started a fight between the two because Ebraheem wasn't able to apologize or take responsibility for what he did.
Ebraheem appears to embrace his role as the villain on the show. With his unapologetically blunt attitude, the show's producers went out of their way to make him the focal point of all the drama. In addition to his ongoing feud with Zeina, Ebraheem also spoke negatively about his close friend, Danya, with whom he co-owns Besties Café.
Ebraheem's Using His Fame To Gain Clout
He Wants To Promote His Businesses
It's no secret that many people join reality shows to gain clout, and Ebraheem is one of them. Being a workaholic, Ebraheem is all about his businesses, which he knows he can promote more by being on the show. It's possible that he's sold a lot more products since joining Dubai Bling, which is probably why he has no problem playing the villain. Being bad may be paying off in a big way.
When he's not running his businesses or filming Dubai Bling, Ebraheem is busy attending high-profile events. On top of that, he's also working on his own reality show, Habibi Ebraheem, which will get plenty of attention. The fact that he is constantly doing as much as possible to put himself in the spotlight seems toprove he is using his reality show fame to earn clout.
Ebraheem Is The Ultimate Villain
His Priorities Are All Wrong
Many parts of Ebraheem’s life have crumbled due to his need for attention, including his marriage, which was strained because he refused to step out of the spotlight. His wife faced public criticism, which likely hurt her, as she didn’t want to be in the public eye. However, Ebraheem still couldn't let go of the fame and success he’d worked hard to achieve. Maybe he doesn't know what truly matters in life.
When one forgets all the extravagant restaurants and expensive suits, Ebraheem is just a grown man who is constantly caught up in drama with a group of people. It seems like he is so absorbed in the allure of fame that he’s unwilling to simplify his life, even if it means sacrificing his marriage and other friendships. At the rate he is ruining his relationships with everyone around him, he might not be able to stay on Dubai Bling for much longer.
Dubai Bling seasons 1 to 3 may be streamed on the Netflix platform.
