Epic Games Mobile Store Brings Third-Party Titles & Even More Free Games

The Epic Games mobile store just got a lot better with the introduction of third-party titles and a Free Games program. The mobile game store launched in September 2024 with just three titles, Fall Guys, Fortnite, and Rocket League Sideswipe, all of which became available to play on mobile devices. The store is continuing to expand, bringing a wider selection of titles to the mobile games marketplace.

The games company is bringing the first round of third-party games to the mobile store, and the first few titles were revealed in a video on the Epic Games YouTube channel. In addition to adding several new games, Epic Games has also revealed more details about its Free Games initiative on the website. The app is currently only available only as a direct download (that is, not through the official stores) on Android devices worldwide and iOS devices in the European Union.

Epic Games Mobile App Adds Nearly 20 New Games

The App Will Also Give Away Free Games

The Epic Games mobile store update brings nearly 20 new games to the app, most coming from third-party developers. The games will be added to the store in waves, with new titles coming to the app every month with plans to move to a weekly update schedule later in the year.

The first two games added to the app are the action RPG Blade of God X: Orisols by Void Labs and the nostalgic homage to classic RPGs Evoland 2 by Playdigious. Also arriving on the mobile store is Epic Games' Lego Fortnite: Brick Life, which is offering fans a chance to unlock the Chord Kahele outfit in-game through February 21 by earning XP in the mobile app.

The Epic Games mobile store is also launching a Free Games program, with a number of titles already available and more coming soon. The following games are confirmed by the YouTube video to be coming to the mobile store:

  • Bloons TD 6 (Ninja Kiwi), free until Feb 20
  • Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee (Playdigious), free until Feb 20
  • Solo Leveiling: Arise (Netmarble)
  • Eastern Exorcist (Thermite Games)
  • Super Space Club (Grahamoflegend)
  • Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money (East Side Games)
  • MR Racer (Storerider)
  • Double Dragon Trilogy (Storerider)

In addition to adding new games, the Epic Games mobile store has received a general update that brings several new features to the app. Fans can now log into their Epic Accounts for cloud syncing between mobile titles across devices. The store now also has an auto-update feature that will keep apps up-to-date and ready to play behind the scenes.

Epic is also offering incentives and tools for developers to use the storefront, including competitive pricing and self-publishing tools for smaller and indie developers. The latter are currently in invite-only beta, but Epic plans to open the tools to all mobile game developers later this year. The Epic Games mobile store has only been out for a few months but it's off to a good start with a decent list of games to choose from, with the promise of more on the way.
