Final Fantasy's Iconic One-Winged Angel Shows Up In Louis Vuitton Fashion Show

The Louis Vuitton men's Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show was set to familiar tunes that any Final Fantasy fan would recognize: One-Winged Angel. The long-running franchise has extended its tendrils into many aspects of pop culture, especially as the people who played it as kids have grown up with the series. Final Fantasy 7, in particular, has become a cultural sensation for the time because of its use of groundbreaking graphics and storytelling.

The title has come back into the spotlight due to the iconic game's recent remake, which is currently waiting for its third and final chapter. The game's music is also back, and it's showing up in some unexpected places. The iconic theme music of FF7's villain, Sephiroth, was featured in the Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter 2025 Show, which can be watched in its entirety on the official Louis Vuitton YouTube channel.

Final Fantasy 7's Famous Villain Theme Leads In The Fashion Theme

Included In The Show By Music Director And Musician Pharell Williams

As Final Fantasy 7 re-entered the public view, so has the music by legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu. Although the entirety of the FF7 soundtrack is poignant and memorable, Sephiroth's theme One-Winged Angel is possibly the most recognizable musical number from the title. As the first notes of the track play and the camera pans toward the circular walkway in the Louis Vuitton show, it's entirely unmistakable.

The runway show was held on January 21 in Paris and featured music and fashion from music industry icon, Pharrell Williams. The inclusion of the FF7 track is especially noteworthy since the track was used as an opener for the real highlight of the show: The reveal of Pharrell Williams' new collaboration song with SEVENTEEN, "Bad Influence." The show was even given a callout on the official Final Fantasy 7 X account, which wrote, "We're more than happy to hear music director Pharell Williams and team have included One-Winged Angel in the Louis Vuitton Men Fall-Winter 2025 Fashion Show!"

Final Fantasy Shows Up In The Most Unexpected Places

FF Has Appeared Everywhere From Fashion Shows To Wrestling Matches

The intersection between fashion and Final Fantasy may seem odd, but this isn't the first time the beloved RPG characters have been featured in high fashion. In 2016, the protagonist of Final Fantasy 13, Lightning, became a "fashion icon in Louis Vuitton's 'Series 4' Campaign," as reported at the time on the official Square Enix website. The entire cast of Final Fantasy 13-2 had previously been featured in Prada's 2012 Men's Spring/Summer Collection, also announced on the website.

Music from the Final Fantasy games is also prevalent in popular culture, especially One-Winged Angel. The tune was even used as a theme song by the wrestler Kenny Omega, who even had Uematsu and fellow FF composer Masayoshi Soken compose an original Final Fantasy-inspired theme song for him this year. The Final Fantasyfranchise has shaped an entire generation, and it continues to influence culture to this day, from the wrestling ring to the runway.
