Olympic National Park’s Elwha River flooded on November 22 and 23, and with waters still high, the park doesn’t yet know the extent of the damage to the road alongside it. The event comes after the park spent $450,000 on a temporary bridge and repaving following a similar flood in 2015. Officials are undecided on future road work: Plans could include rerouting the street out of the floodplain.
