Genshin Impact 5.4 Leaks: How Many Primogems Are In Available In The Next Update

The number of Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.4 has allegedly been calculated based on the leaks for the patch so far, giving players some insight into what they can expect in terms of the resources they consume to obtain new characters and weapons. Version 5.4 is still a few weeks away as the action RPG by HoYoverse has just entered Version 5.3. The current update is focused on the conclusion of the Natlan story arc through new Archon Quests, the upcoming Lantern Rite Festival in 2025, and the four new playable characters, which includes Mavuika in Genshin Impact.

Even so, some attention is shifting toward the next update, as the beta tests for Version 5.4 have commenced. Not much has been leaked just yet, but important rumors have been confirmed by leaked information. The next patch, for example, will add an event with a F2P (free-to-play) 4-star weapon as a reward. The leaks have also highlighted Yumemizuki Mizuki’s kit in Genshin Impact 5.4, showing she will be a 5-star Anemo character wielding a catalyst. Based on what has been leaked so far, a calculation has been made to predict how many Primogems will be obtainable in Version 5.4.

How Many Primogems You Will Get With Genshin Impact 5.4

The Leak Predicts That Fewer Primogems Will Be Available In The Next Update

Taking into consideration the leaks about Version 5.4’s new quests, duration, events, and recurring game mode resets, the leaker known as Hiragara made an estimation of how many Primogems players will be able to claim throughout Version 5.4. According to the leaker’s calculations, which were shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, F2P players will be able to obtain 9,350 Primogems, which translates to roughly 58 Intertwined Fates to use in character and weapon banners. Compared to the number of Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.3, the next update will see a drastic cut.

In the current update, it’s expected that F2P players will be able to obtain around 15,545 Primogems, which is equivalent to around 97 pulls from banners. If the leaks about Version 5.4 are true and the calculation is accurate, players will have a lot fewer resources at their disposal to use once the update arrives 58 pulls are not enough to hit soft pity, much less the guaranteed hard pityrate for banners in Genshin Impact. If players intend to pull for Mizuki, for example, they may want to save their resources starting in Version 5.3 and carry them over.

Events & Dailies Provide Most Free Primogems In Genshin Impact 5.4

The Leak Predicts Few New Quests & No New Achievements

Based on the estimation, the majority of the Version 5.4 Primogems will come from events and daily activities. The leak provided by Hiragara shows that 2,520 Primogems will be obtainable from Daily Commissions in Version 5.4 – this calculation takes into consideration the patch’s regular six-week duration. This means that if the patch is shorter or longer than usual, the number of Primogems will also vary accordingly. With limited-time events in Version 5.4, players are expected to obtain up to 2,420 Primogems – this includes the rumored battle event in Genshin Impact 5.4, as well as the Inazuma-focused one.

When it comes to rewards from new quests, players are expected to only have access to 160 Primogems. Version 5.4 should cool down a bit in narrative content given the end of the Natlan Archon Quests in Version 5.3, so naturally much fewer quest-related Primogems are expected to be available in Version 5.4. The endgame activities Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater should also give players some of the largest sums of Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.4. The Spiral Abyss’ rotation should provide players with up to 1,600 Primogems, while the Imaginarium Theater can reward them with up to 800 Primogems.

The leak shared by Hiragara also shows that there should be no new Achievements, areas, teleport waypoints, or upgrades to the offering systems in Version 5.4, as each of these is listed to provide zero Primogems. This shows that much less content is being added with the upcoming patch. Trial play with 5-star characters should, as always, provide 20 Primogems per character, totaling 80 Primogems. The shop’s monthly reset will allow players to directly purchase five Intertwined Fates and five Acquaint Fates. Five other Acquaint Fates can be obtained by maxing out the F2P trail on Genshin Impact’s battle pass.

Events, dailies, and game modes can only provide the listed number of Primogems if players max out each of the activities. If they don’t reach the final floor in Spiral Abyss, they should expect fewer Primogems.

Additionally, the game’s maintenance period should compensate players with 600 Primogems as it normally does for each patch. Lastly, among the F2P sources, the leak also predicts that a total of 360 Primogems will be obtainable via promo codes that are redeemed during the period. 300 of these should come from the Version 5.5 livestream codes, which will likely occur two weeks before the end of Version 5.4 itself. While the estimated number of free Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.4 is somewhat underwhelming, there are ways of increasing gains.

You Can Gain More Primogems In Genshin Impact 5.4 With Paid Resources

In addition to the Primogems obtained through regular means, including gameplay, players can buff their Primogem income via paid methods. As pointed out by the calculation, players who subscribe to the Blessing of the Welkin Moon service can gain an additional 3,780 Primogems during Version 5.4. Stacked with the total amount from F2P sources, the total Primogem count ascends to 13,130, which is equal to around 82 pulls. The battle pass in Genshin Impact can also grant players a total of 1,320 Primogems. When stacked with F2P sources and the Welkin Moon, the total number of Primogems rises to 14,450.

This amount translates to around 90 Intertwined Fates. Overall, it seems like the next update will be disappointing in terms of obtainable Primogems and playable content. It’s natural that the game should slow down a bit following agitated patches from Version 5.0 through Version 5.3, but it does seem like the patch will be extremely reliant on events. For now, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as a lot more should be unveiled through the Genshin Impact 5.4 beta tests during the upcoming weeks.
