Genshin Impact 5.4: Should You Save Pulls For Yumemizuki Mizuki Or Sigewinne?

Saving pulls for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne in Genshin Impact 5.4 may be a necessary step that players have to take when considering the game’s limitations on F2P (free-to-play) Primogems – as such, they may not have enough resources saved up to obtain both 5-star characters. Yumemizuki Mizuki is a new 5-star Anemo character from Inazuma, who excels as a healer and a buffer in team comps, while Sigewinne is a 5-star Hydro healer. Both of these units are lined up to be available for pulls during the Phase 1 banners for Genshin Impact 5.4, as confirmed by HoYoverse.

Mizuki is the only new character among the two of them. The character from Inazuma uses a catalyst in combat, allowing her to deal Anemo DMG with her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, unlike characters with other weapon types. Mizuki’s release as a playable character and NPC coincides with the Traveler’s return to the region of Inazuma to celebrate the Mikawa Flower Festival, which will be the flagship event for Version 5.4, even if there will be other activities during the patch, such as the battle tower event in Genshin Impact 5.4, which will challenge players’ combat strategies.

The 5-Star Characters Will Appear In Phase 1 Banners

As was previously mentioned, both Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sigewinne will star in the Phase 1 banners for Version 5.4. This means that they will become available for pulls with the release of the update and last for three weeks, which is when Phase 2 begins. Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sigewinne will be available in Phase 1 banners, which are set to last from February 12 through March 4. During the period, players will also be able to pull for Sunny Morning Sleep-In and Silvershower Heartstrings, their respective signature 5-star weapons, in the weapons banner in Genshin Impact 5.4’s Phase 1.

After this, Mizuki and Sigewinne will be substituted by the Phase 2 banners, which will feature the 5-star characters Wriothesley and Furina. This means that players have until March 4 to pull for Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sigewinne if they want either of the characters. It’s uncertain when any of these will return to the limited-time banners, but it has been confirmed that Mizuki will become part of the standard banner loot pool after Version 5.5, meaning that players will have a chance to obtain Mizuki from the standard Wish banner in Genshin Impact.

It’s also worth noting that players will be able to choose one free 5-star character from the standard banner every X.0 update, a gift system that started with the arrival of Version 5.0. As such, players will be able to obtain Mizuki for free during Version 6.0.

Pros & Cons Of Pulling For Yumemizuki Mizuki In Genshin Impact 5.4

Mizuki Can Heal & Provide Buffs To Allies

There are boons and downsides to Yumemizuki Mizuki that players should be aware of before making the decision to pull her from the banner in Version 5.4. Mizuki’s kit allows her to operate as a support or a healer for her team comp, or a hybrid. The 5-star Anemo character’s Elemental Skill puts her into the Dreamdrifter state, which makes her levitate and gain an increased movement speed. While she is in this state, Mizuki deals periodic AoE Anemo DMG to nearby opponents. Furthermore, this state increases the Swirl DMG that her allies cause to enemies in Genshin Impact.

With her Elemental Burst, Mizuki can pull in enemies (much like Sucrose and Kazuha, for example) and summon a creature called Mini Baku. Periodically, Mini Baku will drop snacks onto the field, which have different effects, based on the active character’s status. If the active character who picks up the snack has over 70% of their HP, the Mini Baku’s snack explodes, dealing an instance of AoE Anemo DMG to nearby enemies. If the active character has 70% or less, the snack restores their HP based on Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery stat.

If the snacks are not picked up after some time, they explode, dealing an instance of AoE Anemo DMG to enemies.

Mizuki’s specialty revolves around her Elemental Mastery stat, as both the Swirl DMG buff and her healing scale off of it. As such, her build is fairly easy to reach as EM is somewhat simple to increase. The issue with it is that, based on Mizuki’s kit on Honey Hunter World, she won’t be able to provide too much healing when compared to other dedicated healers in the game. With a high Elemental Mastery stat (approximately 1,000 EM), her Elemental Burst (at level 10) should provide around 3,000 HP per snack in Genshin Impact.

This amount of healing doesn’t really compensate for the investment in EM and if players think of Mizuki as a dedicated sustain character rather than an emergency healer, they may see themselves in trouble. Overall, Mizuki is better off as a Swirl support rather than a healer, per si, but even so, her kit brings limitations. Mizuki’s Swirl DMG buff happens when she is in her Dreamdrifter state, and that ends when she leaves the field, which means that players can’t swap to their main DPS and take advantage of it.

Another downside to Mizuki is that she will soon join the standard banner loot pool. As such, she will become obtainable from the standard Wish banner and when players lose their 50/50 pulls in premium banners. Furthermore, they will have an annual chance to choose her as their 5-star character. Overall, it doesn’t seem like Mizuki is a character that is worth investing in, at least not in a premium banner that consumes Intertwined Fate and, subsequently, Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.4.

Pros & Cons Of Pulling For Sigewinne In Genshin Impact 5.4

The 5-Star Hydro Character Is A Healer

Sigewinne, on the other hand, is a 5-star bow user who uses Hydro DMG in combat. Her main specialty is providing healing to her allies via her Elemental Skill, which can be charged to deal more DMG to enemies and increase healing per tier (up to two tiers). Additionally, Sigewinne creates Sourcewater Droplets, which can be picked up by her to obtain Bond of Life. This Bond of Life can then be cleared to regain Energy, charging her Burst. Her Burst is focused on dealing damage to opponents, though Sigewinne’s best build in Genshin Impact isn’t really focused on that.

Sigewinne’s healing is reliable enough to have her as the team comp’s dedicated sustain character, but it can consume a lot of time seeing that she has to charge. This could make her a problem in fights where time is of the essence. Furthermore, Sigewinne becomes vulnerable to interruptions while charging her Skill, which could put a damper on healing the team. As a healer, Sigewinne is much better than Mizuki, and her passive increases a minor Elemental Skill DMG buff to her allies, which makes her a better option among the two in Genshin Impact 5.4.

Sigewinne is not without flaws, however. Her vulnerability to interruption, long casting times, somewhat useless Burst (if players don’t have her signature weapon or C6), and low Hydro application restrain her potential. There are better options than Sigewinne, including Furina, who will rerun in Phase 2 banners for Genshin Impact 5.4, so among the entire patch, it’s better to skip Phase 1 entirely and save for better characters, including Wriothesley, Furina, or even Xilonen in a future rerun banner.
