Hanging Lake hikers will have one more summer of unrestricted access (and likely, crowding), the Forest Service announced. Officials say they are still working on the plan to implement a fee-based reservation and permit system for Hanging Lake, as well as a mandatory shuttle to solve parking problems at the Glenwood Springs-area trail.
