MANILA – PLDT pulled off a 25-20, 25-16, 25-15 victory over ZUS Coffee Saturday to formalize its No. 4 seeding in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

Savi Davison finished with 17 points off 14 attacks and three blocks while Mary Joy Baron added 10 points, including two aces, at City of Passi Arena in Iloilo City.

Erika Santos contributed eight points; Mika Reyes had seven points, including three blocks; and Fiola Ceballos chipped in four points as the High Speed Hitters closed out the preliminations with an 8-3 (win-loss) slate.

ZUS Coffee, which finished at No. 9 with a 4-7 mark, will face PLDT again in the qualifying round at Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday.

The six winners will advance to the best-of-three quarterfinals and the losers will battle it out in a play-in tournament for the remaining two quarterfinal berths.

Creamline (10-1), Petro Gazz (10-1) and Cignal (8-3) finished in the top three.

“Our mindset is to perform well for our next opponent,” PLDT coach Rald Ricafort said.

PLDT dominated in all aspects of the game, outscoring ZUS Coffee in spikes (43-30), blocks (7-3), and serves (5-4).
