Honkai Star Rail 3.1 Leaks: Mydei's Materials Can Be Pre-Farmed

Based on leaks, players can already start pre-farming Mydei’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail if they are interested in pulling for the character in Version 3.1, so as to get the upper hand and be nearly ready to fully max out his his level and abilities once the update is released. The turn-based RPG by HoYoverse has just commenced Version 3.0, meaning that Version 3.1 is still a few weeks away from arriving as the game is currently introducing players to Amphoreus. However, the developer has already confirmed the releases of Mydei and Tribbie in Honkai: Star Rail 3.1.

Although more official information is scarce, the beta tests for Version 3.1 have already started and, with them, new leaks are being shared. So far, these leaks have revealed details about Tribbie and Mydei’s possible gameplay kits and how they will operate. On top of the confirmation that Mydei is a 5-star Imaginary character on the Path of the Destruction, the leaks about Mydei’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.1 have shown that he consumes HP to enhance his damage output. Before players take advantage of the rumored kit, they will have to Ascend him, which involves farming Mydei’s materials.

Most Items Listed Are Already Available

Thanks to the aforementioned beta tests, the complete list of materials used by Mydei in both his Ascension and Trace-leveling processes has been leaked. As seen in Mydei’s entry on Honey Hunter World, the 5-star character’s materials are all listed and separated per quantity and their destined usage. According to the leak, the majority of the materials consumed by Mydei can already be pre-farmed. Some of the items were available long before the arrival of Version 3.0 and the subsequent introduction of Amphoreus, such as Borisin Teeth, consumed by several Destruction characters like Yunli and Firefly in Honkai: Star Rail.

Alternatively, some leaked materials used by Mydei were only introduced with Version 3.0, which inevitably means that older players have a shorter stock of them in their inventories. Players will have a lot of work to do when pre-farming Mydei’s materials, according to the leaks, since some of them are exclusive to Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail, while another item cannot be pre-farmed at all until the arrival of Version 3.1. This should set players back a bit, but pre-farming the rest of the items could help save some time once Mydei is officially released by HoYoverse.

Players May Have To Travel Across Several Destinations

The first set of materials listed for Mydei is composed of Fear-Stomped Flesh, Courage-Torn Chest, and Glory-Aspersed Torso. These three items are part of the same family, each with a different rarity. The best way to farm Fear-Stomped Flesh, Courage-Torn Chest, and Glory-Aspersed Torso is to defeat Titankin in Amphoreus. Some Fear-Stomped Flesh can also be purchased from the Ember’s Exchange shop. For reference, these are also Aglaea’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail, so players who farmed for her may know where to look.

Players can also get more from enemies in the Simulated Universe and as rewards from Assignments. According to the leak, these materials are used for both Mydei’s Ascension and Trace-leveling processes, meaning a larger quantity will be needed. As such, a large amount of farming may be needed. In addition to Fear-Stomped Flesh, Courage-Torn Chest, and Glory-Aspersed Torso, the leak shows that another item is listed among Mydei’s materials for Ascension: Harbinger of Strife. This item cannot be pre-farmed in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 and will likely only be made available with the release of Version 3.1.

Players shouldn’t forget to use the Omni-Synthesizer to transform lower-grade materials into rarer items to meet Mydei’s leaked material needs.

In fact, the leak shows that Harbinger of Strife, an item rumored to be used exclusively for the Ascension of certain Imaginary characters, is dropped from a new Stagnant Shadow activity that is currently unavailable in the game. Additionally, as a 5-star character, Mydei’s Ascension is expected to consume 308,000 Credits, as shown in the leak. This excludes the extra 508,000 Credits used when leveling him with Character EXP Materials. The best way to farm Credits is to challenge Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures activities in Honkai: Star Rail.

As is the case of all 5-star characters in the game so far and confirmed in the leak on Honey Hunter World, Mydei will consume an additional 3,000,000 Credits to fully upgrade all of his Traces to the maximum level, so players will need to farm a hefty sum of the resource to ensure the Destruction character is maxed out.

The leak also shows that Mydei’s Traces require Borisin Teeth, Lupitoxin Sawteeth, and Moon Rage Fang, materials that are all part of the same item family. These Destruction-exclusive items can be farmed at the Calyx (Crimson): Bud of Destruction activity located on the Scalegorge Waterscape map in the Xianzhou Luofu. A large amount of these will be necessary, so players will likely have to tackle the Calyx multiple times. As these are part of the same item family, players should use the Omni-Synthesizer in Honkai: Star Rail as needed.

For weekly boss materials, Mydei consumes Auspice Sliver, according to the leak. Auspice Sliver can be obtained by defeating the Shadow of Feixiao boss in the Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield activity, located on the Skysplitter map in the Xianzhou Luofu. Only 12 copies are needed, but given that Echoes of War have a weekly limitation, the earlier players start farming, the sooner they should be ready for Mydei’s release. For reference, Auspice Sliver is one of Feixiao’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail, so players who farmed for the Wind character may already know where to farm more.

Lastly, Mydei will use eight Tracks of Destiny on his higher-leveled Traces, as shown in the leak. This rare Trace material can be obtained once a week from the Simulated Universe. It can also be a reward for some limited-time rewards, as well as purchased from the Ember’s Exchange and Starlight Exchange stores.

Overall, it should be fairly easy to pre-farm most of Mydei’s materials if the leak is accurate. This could significantly accelerate the process in which players start working on his build – after all, once he is released in Version 3.1, players may only need to concern themselves with the rumored Harbinger of Strife Ascension material, which will likely be farmable by challenging a new Stagnant Shadow repeatedly – if players save their Trailblaze Power in Honkai: Star Rail, they can gather all that is needed within a single day.

Because this list of materials is based on leaks, it’s best to be wary that pre-farming these items for Mydei could result in useless efforts, as some materials are still subject to change. As such, players may see themselves farming Auspice Sliver, for example, only to witness HoYoverse release Mydei requiring another weekly boss material altogether. Nevertheless, pre-farming is always a great idea, especially considering that Honkai: Star Rail leaks based on beta tests have been reliable lately.
