Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Castorice's Materials Can Be Pre-Farmed
Pre-farming Castorice’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail can already be done, according to new leaks about the character that is scheduled to be released in Version 3.2. Castorice has already been presented as an NPC in the Amphoreus story arc as one of the many Chrysos Heirs, the heroes of The Eternal Land. Wielding the power of death and a servant to the Titan Thanatos, her release in Version 3.2 has been confirmed by HoYoverse through drip marketing but leaks about Castorice’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 are also being shared ahead of an official reveal by the developer.
Castorice is already confirmed to be a 5-star Quantum character following the Path of the Remembrance, but leaks have shown that she is centered around draining HP from her party to increase her overall damage output and performance. The leaks say that Castorice has a special Ultimate mechanic that makes her independent from Energy, but instead, a special system based on HP loss. As expected, the leaks also mention that Castorice’s abilities scale off her HP, making her yet another HP-loss character in Honkai: Star Rail following the upcoming release of Mydei in Version 3.1’s Phase 2 banners.
Castorice's Materials In Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Have Leaked
Most Of The Leaked Materials Are Currently Available In The Game
According to new information provided by the leaker known as Dim, all of Castorice’s materials have been leaked. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. As shown in the leak, the post compiles all the material types that Castorice is expected to consume and the number of copies for each resource. The leak doesn’t make a distinction between how many materials are used for her Ascension and how many are used for her Traces, but considering she is a 5-star character in Honkai: Star Rail, it’s possible to assume what is needed for which process.

Honkai: Star Rail's Amphoreus Leaks Say Character's True Form May Not Be Playable, But An Upcoming Boss
New Honkai: Star Rail leaks have allegedly showcased the true form of an Amphoreus character, which may become a boss to face in the campaign.
Based on the leaks so far, it doesn’t seem like players looking toward upgrading Castorice won't have to worry too much about waiting to farm any materials. In fact, most of the materials listed in the leak are currently available in the game and, therefore, can be pre-farmed. Pre-farming materials based on leaks can be risky, as you may see your efforts quelled once the character is released and her materials are different than what was reported. However, if accurate, you can get ahead and start using Castorice’s abilities in Honkai: Star Rail as soon as you pull her.
How & Where To Pre-Farm Castorice's Leaked Ascension Materials In Honkai: Star Rail 3.2
Several Materials Were Introduced With Version 3.1
The first set of leaked materials for Castorice’s Ascension is composed of Ethereal Omen, Echoing Wail, and Eternal Lament. These materials, parts of the same item family, are dropped from Black Tide Creatures in the turn-based RPG. This set of items will be introduced with Version 3.2. You can farm Ethereal Omen, Echoing Wail, and Eternal Lament by defeating Black Tide Creatures such as the Tide-Eroded Blade, which you will encounter starting in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, as seen in a leak on Reddit. If the leaks are true, these three enemy drop materials are also used in Castorice’s Traces.

I Have A Theory For Why Honkai: Star Rail Fate Collab Character Leaks Seem So Weird
New leaks about the Honkai: Star Rail collab with Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works have emerged and, initially, they may seem strange.
The second material you need to farm for Castorice is her element-specific item. Darkveil Moonlight is a new Ascension material for Quantum characters that can be farmed from the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Gelidmoon and it has been leaked that this will be used by Castorice. Not too many copies will be needed, but it is necessary to run the activity multiple times to obtain all 65 Darkveil Moonlight that are required. For reference, Darkveil Moonlight is also listed among Tribbie’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail, so if you farmed for her, you may already know where to farm more.
When working with materials that are part of the same item family, such as Ethereal Omen, Echoing Wail, and Eternal Lament, remember to use the Omni-Synthesizer to transform lower-grade materials into rare ones.
For her Ascension, Castorice will consume Credits. The leak highlights the total amount considering how much is spent on her Trace-leveling process, too, but based on previous 5-star releases, Castorice should consume 308,000 Credits to unlock all of the Ascension thresholds, plus an extra 500,000 Credits to level her up with Character EXP Materials (the leak says that 287 copies of Traveler’s Guide, nine Adventure Logs, and 16 Travel Encounters are needed). This will represent 816,000 Credits of the leaked 3,888,100 total Credits. You can and should farm Credits from Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures activities in Honkai: Star Rail.
How & Where To Pre-Farm Castorice's Leaked Trace Materials In Honkai: Star Rail 3.2
More Credits May Be Consumed Than Usually
As was previously mentioned, if the enemy drop materials used by Castorice’s Ascension are Ethereal Omen, Echoing Wail, and Eternal Lament, then these items should repeat in her Trace-leveling process. The amount needed here is much larger than in her Ascension, so you will need to abundantly farm them. This amount does not seem to have increased, despite rumors that the maximum level for Basic Attacks will increase from level 6 to 10, as reported by Sakura Haven in a post on Reddit. This will, however, seemingly affect another material in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail 3.2 Leaks: Character Banner Reruns Actually Make A Lot Of Sense
New leaks about the possible rerun banners in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 have emerged and the rumored lineup may actually make a lot of sense for the meta.
As a Remembrance character, Castorice is also rumored to consume Remembrance-specific materials. According to the leak, Castorice uses Bīja of Consciousness, Seedling of Manas, and Flower of Ālaya. These three materials can be farmed from Calyx (Crimson): Bud of Remembrance, located on the Strife Ruins map in Castrum Kremnos. A lot of these are needed, and they are some of the safest leaked Castorice materials to pre-farm before Honkai: Star Rail 3.1. Some copies of these items can be purchased from the Embers Exchange store.
For more advanced Traces, Castorice will allegedly use Auspice Sliver, a weekly boss drop that can be obtained by defeating the Shadow of Feixiao boss from the Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield. Not many copies are needed, but given limitations on weekly boss fights, it may take you a few weeks to farm everything that is needed. At higher Trace levels, you will also need to use Tracks of Destiny, which can be farmed weekly from the Simulated Universe, limited-time events, and reputation systems in Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai Star Rail Leaks: Unexpected Character May Soon Get A Much-Needed Buff & A Summer Skin
HoYoverse has already confirmed that older Honkai: Star Rail characters will get buffs, but an unexpected one may also get an alternative summer skin.
The leak also mentions that Castorice will consume a total of 3,888,100 Credits, which discounting the aforementioned 816,000 Credits, leaves 3,072,100 Credits left for her Traces. This is a larger amount than usual, possibly reflecting the aforementioned rumors about the increase in the maximum level for Basic Attacks.
If the leak is accurate, pre-farming Castorice’s materials should be fairly easy. Most of the materials have been available in the game for some time and those that haven’t been are already available to farm in Version 3.1. Pre-farming could help players quickly max out Castorice as soon as they obtain her and then focus on optimizing her character build in Honkai: Star Rail.
