Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 Leaks Suggest Castorice Will Have A Unique Feature In Battles, But Will It Affect Combat?
A few new leaks about Castorice in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 have arisen and one of the pieces of information highlights what may be a feature that only the Amphoreus character will have in battles once she is released. Castorice is one of the many Chrysos Heirs from The Eternal Land. She has already been introduced as an NPC in the main story arc as a servant to Thanatos, and the hero prophesied to reclaim the Coreflame of Death. Recently, there have been a few leaks about Castorice in Honkai: Star Rail, such as her rumored release in Version 3.2.
The details about her gameplay kit are still a bit scrambled, with various information arriving from multiple sources, each saying different things about how she operates and which characters she can be compared to. Since her first teaser, Castorice has been rumored to be a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of the Remembrance, which would mean she is capable of summoning a memosprite into battle. Some of the leaks about Castorice’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 indicate she will drain the HP from her entire team, but it’s uncertain to what extent that should occur.
Castorice May Have A Unique Animation Starting Battles In Honkai: Star Rail
Details About What This Animation Features Haven’t Been Provided Yet
While a lot of the attention is drawn toward her in-battle functionalities, it seems like Castorice will also have a special feature before starting combat. According to information provided by Galaxy Leak, which was shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, Castorice will have a unique animation when entering battles. This indicates that the Amphoreus character may not necessarily initiate combat in a different manner than other characters, but her connection to death may prompt a special animation that sets her apart from other characters in Honkai: Star Rail.
The information shared by Galaxy Leak does not describe what this special animation will look like, but it is said to precede the black screen that loads the combat instances, shifting from the overworld to battles. Normally, when players start a battle in the overworld or in an activity like a Calyx, this action triggers a short animation showing a slow-motion zoom into the opponent and then loading the combat scene. According to the leak, this standard animation may be changed with the arrival of Castorice in Honkai: Star Rail.
Castorice’s Theme May Tackle Everything In Her Design In Honkai: Star Rail
Her Rumored HP Drain May Be Related To Her Status As The Bearer Of The Coreflame Of Death
Aside from the renewed and exclusive aesthetic value, the unique animation rumored for Castorice should not impact battles, per si, but help set her apart from the other characters given her unique role as, essentially, an ambassador for death in the game. This concept is seemingly being applied across Castorice’s entire design, from this leaked animation description to her aforementioned ability to drain allies’ HPs, which are said to enhance her own power in combat. According to other leaks about Castorice’s memosprite in Honkai: Star Rail, she will be capable of summoning a dragon.
This dragon is rumored to enhance the number of enemies she can target and will likely play into the rumored HP loss mechanics that dictate how her gameplay kit flows. The leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, especially when considering how much conflicting information about Castorice is being shared. Even so, it does seem like the Chrysos Heir is being given special treatment, both in her design and her rumored gameplay kit in Honkai: Star Rail.
