“I Can’t Believe Netflix Signed Off”: The Night Agent Season 3 Filming Has Started, And Star Gabriel Basso Is Already Hyping The Stunts

The Night Agent star Gabriel Basso has confirmed season 3 has already started filming, hyping up stunts he can't believe Netflix approved of. The Night Agent season 2 arrives on January 23, featuring another thrilling, 10-episode storyline following Peter Sutherland (Basso) and Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan) as they investigate another conspiracy, which could lead to a dangerous attack in New York City. Season 1 climbed the streaming service's ranks to become the Number 7 most-watched English-language show of all time on the platform, leading to an early renewal for season 3 as well.

Speaking with GamesRadar+, Basso confirmed The Night Agent season 3 has already started filming, ahead of the show's season 2 premiere. The lead actor also hyped up the stunts in episode 1, saying it's the best opening out of every season so far. He's also surprised Netflix approved of just how far they went with the new stunts, teasing just how thrilling the in-production episodes are going to be. Check out what Basso had to say below:

I don't love acting, honestly, I'm not really psyched about this business, but season 3 I'm very excited about. I think the crew down in Istanbul were amazing. The stuff we were able to get on camera that was unplanned was nuts. I do some stunts in there that I can't believe Netflix signed off on. Just from top to bottom, we were able to get some stuff. The actors all killed it. The action was insane. If I'm ranking the three seasons in their openings, this is our strongest opening of all seasons. And that’s just in one episode, we’re not even done with the second one – it’s insane.

What Basso's Update On The Night Agent Says About Season 3

The Show Sounds Like It's Getting Even More Action-Packed

Basso's update is good news for The Night Agent season 3, with the series' early production indicating plenty of faith in the series' longevity for Netflix. The show's high-octane sequences are what makes it so exciting, making the filming tease indicative of how every season is planning to outdo the last in terms of stunt action. There were plenty of memorable car chases, gunfights, and escapes in season 1, something that will seemingly continue to be reflected in season 2 as Peter and Rose's new investigation unfolds.

While not much is known about season 3 as of writing, it was previously confirmed that season 2's story will lead into the in-production episodes. Even though it's unclear how much of The Night Agent's cast will be returning aside from Basso, it's evident the series will still be maintaining the elements of excitement that helped bolster its popularity. This likely means the show will be continuing its successful streak on the platform, potentially drawing in large viewership numbers once again with some of the show's most thrilling scenes.
