“I Just Blacked Out”: 1000-Lb Sisters’ Amanda Halterman Reveals Terrifying Health News Amid Signs She’s Taking The Spotlight From Tammy
Following her massive weight loss, Amanda Halterman from 1000-Lb Sisters has recently shared details about a troubling health issue that landed her in the hospital. After undergoing bariatric surgery in 2023, she chronicled her weight loss progress on TV, appearing to be in good health. Unfortunately, Amanda's health took a turn for the worse in late 2024. In February 2025, she revealed that she was experiencing upper respiratory issues and posted a video of herself wearing a Holter monitor. Amanda requested prayers from fans and discussed how she had been managing these health issues since December 2024.
Recently, Amanda provided further updates on her health condition. On February 20, she posted a video discussing the events that led to her recent hospitalization.
Amanda said, "I ordered pizza and was trying to clean up, and I just blacked out." She explained that she was awaiting her diagnosis and treatment plan and had just returned home after a "three-day" stay in the hospital. In a subsequent post, Amanda shared pictures from her time in the hospital, where she appeared more frail and weak than ever before.
In the caption of the video montage, Amanda described, "the first picture I was very disoriented and confused. The second pic was about 4 hours later the others was the next morning."
What Amanda Halterman’s Health Issues Mean Amid Weight Loss
Amanda's Illness May Be The Reason For Her Rapid Weight Loss
Amanda appears to be experiencing significant health issues that are likely to have a major impact on her future participation in the show. She is currently dealing with serious cardiac problems and hasn't been informed of her diagnosis. Despite this, Amanda, a mother of four, remains positive and is taking all necessary steps to prioritize her health. Her cardiac issues may be contributing to her rapid weight loss, resulting in her looking much more frail compared to when she originally appeared on 1000-Lb Sisters season 4, which is distressing to witness.
