I Love Dragon Ball Daima, But It Just Told Me Too Much About Vegeta's Love Life
Out of every warrior in Dragon Ball, Vegeta is the last person fans would expect to back down from a battle. His entire character isbuilt off an unwavering sense of pride and desire to prove himself superior, particularly against Goku. Even in the face of overwhelming odds, Vegeta would sooner die than admit he needs help from anyone.
That is, until the latest episode of Dragon Ball Daima. In one of the series’ funniest and most unexpected scenes, Bulma laid out an ultimatum that caused Vegeta to instantly forego his pride and accept help from Goku and the others. Rather than maintaining the stubborn front fans have come to expect from him, Vegeta crumbled when an aspect of his personal life was at stake.
Dragon Ball Daima Revealed That Vegeta Knows Exactly What His Priorities Are
Pride Is Not the Most Important Thing to Vegeta
For all his talk about strength and Saiyan pride, Vegeta made his priorities abundantly clear. His drive to surpass Goku is nearly all-consuming, but over the years, it’s become more and more evident that his family holds just as much, if not more, weight in his decisions. In Dragon Ball Daima Episode #19, a scene revealed much more about Vegeta’s personal life than fans were ever expecting. With one threat to his bath time with Bulma, Vegeta didn’t hesitate to return and accept help in the battle against King Gomah.

New Dragon Ball Report Reveals We Owe Majin Buu Way More Than Anyone Expected
Akira Toriyama had planned for Dragon Ball to conclude with the Cell Saga, but thanks to Majin Buu, the series continued just a little while longer.
In this scene, his decision between pride and baths with Bulma is instantaneous, telling fans that he knows exactly what and who matters most to him. While the moment is undeniably comedic, it also shows how much Vegeta has changed throughout the series. The once ruthless Saiyan Prince, who scoffed at any sort of attachment, now has clear personal stakes that outweigh his ego. Vegeta embraced his life on Earth, and while he may never openly admit it, his actions prove that his family is a core part of who he is and outweighs everything else—including his beloved pride.
Vegeta’s Pride Instantly Crumbled With One Threat From Bulma
Bulma Hit Vegeta Where It Hurt in This Episode
Vegeta, who would rather die than abandon his pride, proved to fans that all it took to let go of his ego was one threat from Bulma. The dramatic pause before his surrender only made the scene funnier as his entire warrior’s code crumbled under the weight of his prized bath time with Bulma being stolen from him. Despite Vegeta’s hardened exterior, he values the "intimate" moments of his private life more than any battle. His Saiyan pride means multitudes to Vegeta, but even that has limits, and Bulma knows exactly what those limits are.
Vegeta’s struggle between pride and personal happiness has always been a massive part of his character after he was introduced to the series. However, Daima proves to fans that Vegeta has grown far beyond the ruthless Prince he once was. No matter how much he values his pride or how much he boasts about being a warrior, his actions speak louder. At the end of the day, Dragon Ball Daima made it clear that Vegeta may be a Saiyan elite, but above all else, he’s unquestionably Bulma’s husband first.
