I'm Convinced 1 MCU Actor Just Debunked The Major Theories Their Marvel Character Would Die This Year
The Marvel Cinematic Universe might not lose one fan-favorite character that theories claimed would die in 2025, as I'm convinced a franchise star just revealed their character's fate. I'm very excited about the MCU's 2025 movies and series. Last year was notably leaner for Marvel releases. That was to be expected, as the 2023 Hollywood strikes led to several delays across the industry. In addition to that, Marvel completely overhauled its TV department. Instead of focusing on limited series at a fast pace, MCU TV shows will now be multi-season and have longer development pipelines, which is a win.
Marvel Studios' upcoming projects this year include five more TV shows, between animation and live-action, and two movies. With major projects like Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Daredevil: Born Again on the way, I'm convinced that we could lose some surprising characters in 2025. Many of the MCU's offerings this year have incredibly high stakes, with terrifying and powerful villains making it difficult for the projects not to include a few deaths. That is why many MCU characters are rumored to die in 2025. Thankfully, one I hoped would live might just do that after a new update.
Karen Page Will Be Back For Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
Marvel Studios Fully Believes In The Series
Karen Page is one of the characters from Netlifx's Daredevil who has been on quite a journey. After the original show was canceled, Marvel Studios announced Daredevil: Born Again would bring back the franchise years later. However, Karen was not part of the initial story for the MCU series. I was not at all a fan of that decision, so when it was revealed that a creative overhaul had happened and that Karen, Foggy Nelson, Bullseye, and more Netflix Daredevil characters would return in the show, I was ecstatic.
Now, we have confirmation that Deborah Ann Woll's journey as Karen Page will not end with the new show's first season. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the Daredevil: Born Again premiere's red carpet, Woll revealed that she will be back as Karen in season 2. According to the MCU star, the scripts for season 2 are "amazing." The second season of Marvel Studios' Daredevil series begins filming on Friday, February 28th, and Marvel's Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, has teased in interviews that seasons 3 and beyond are the hope for Daredevil: Born Again.

The MCU Character Had Been Rumored To Bite The Bullet
Deborah Ann Woll's Daredevil: Born Again season 2 return is quite interesting. Before the show's creative overhaul, it was rumored that the reason why Foggy and Karen did not appear in the series would be explained by them having been killed in between Daredevil season 3 and the reboot/sequel series. Adding to that, when the characters were announced to return, it was also revealed that Marvel was bringing back Wilson Bethel's Bullseye. When I heard of this, I was immediately afraid for Karen, as he had a bone left to pick with her over their Netflix history.

The first Daredevil: Born Again reactions are out, and the positive reviews prove that the new MCU series is a worthy successor to Netflix's Daredevil
However, based on a few factors, such as Woll saying she is honored that Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane has included Karen Page in season 2's story, I'm convinced that the death theories surrounding Karen will not pan out. While she could return in the new season as a hallucination, in flashbacks, and more, I fully believe Karen will survive season 1.

After Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul, Scardapane wrote a new pilot for the show and co-wrote season 1's final two episodes. Interestingly, Karen Page is reportedly in three episodes, so she goes away after the premiere and returns later, at the end of the season. Her role in the final two episodes should connect to her season 2 story.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 Has Another More Likely Death

While I now feel fairly sure that Karen Page is safe, sadly, I'm fully convinced that Foggy Nelson is going to die in Daredevil: Born Again. During the press tour for the upcoming MCU series, Matt Murdock star Charlie Cox has commented multiple times about how there is a major tragedy early in the season that completely changes Daredevil's life and how he acts going forward. It's likely directly related to the "line that was crossed" from the show's first trailer. Adding to it, we have already seen what happens.
Daredevil: Born Again set videos and photos revealed that Bullseye shoots Foggy Nelson. The moment happens outside of Josie's, the bar Karen, Foggy, and Matt went to together in Netflix's Daredevil. After Daredevil arrives to tackle Bullseye, the images show a bloody Foggy on the ground and Karen with blood on her face and a gun in hand. If there is to be a major death in the series, I put my money on Foggy being killed by Bullseye, with Karen leaving after a time jump, only to return at the end of Daredevil: Born Again season 1.
