"I Think I Have A Problem": Disney Dreamlight Valley Player Goes Just A Little Overboard Stocking Up Supplies
After being short on Vitalys crystals too many times, one Disney Dreamlight Valley player has made sure that they'll never run out again. The magical crystals are useful materials that can be used to make certain tasks around the Valley easier and more fruitful. Although many players like to stock up on useful materials in Disney's cozy life sim, one fan may have gone just a little bit overboard.
"I think I have a problem," writes Redditor legzyx, sharing a screenshot from their game that shows they've filled an entire Daisy cabinet, one of the most spacious storage options in the game at 48 slots. The DDV player writes that they never seemed to have any Vitalys crystals when they needed them, so they spent about a week dedicating every play session to farming the glowing blue crystals.
As a result, the Redditor now has "over 2.4k crystals, which I believe should last me roughly 37 years." Although their fingers hurt and they now hate the mines, they feel it was worth it, as they will almost certainly never run out of the scarce material again.
Vitalys Crystals Are Useful To Have On Hand In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Vanellope Was An Unwitting Accomplice On This Storage Quest
The extremely useful Vitalys crystals are required for several quests around the Valley, but they're mostly used for crafting potions and elixirs. The potions made from the crystals are mostly used to improve luck in fishing, digging, farming, and mining, among others. Although they're not essential to the game, having these potions on hand increases player luck and makes it more likely that they'll find good loot quicker.
Mining can be made more fruitful if it's done with a mining-specialized villager as the player's buddy. In legzyx's case, their companion was Vanellope because, as they jokingly write, "the children yearn for the mines." As a result of the player's effort, they also managed to gather many other treasures from the mines, including over 700 rubies, over 300 sapphires, nearly 700 iron ore, and more than 1,000 gold nuggets.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans Are Prepared For Anything
Storage Is A Popular Way To Use The New Floating Islands
Fellow Dreamlight Valley fans are impressed by player's dedication, praising them for managing to fill an entire 48-slot cabinet with the glowing gems. ArhaminAngra notes that they'd thought they were "super savvy with my 50 of each gem and 150 v-crystals." In fact, collecting many materials is so popular among Dreamlight Valley players that storage rooms and entire fields of storage are a common sight among fans' Valleys.
Collecting materials and decor items is such an integral part of Disney's cozy title that storage is one popular way to use the new floating islands feature added in the recent Storybook Vale expansion. Though not everyone is as extreme in their item collection as legzyx, this is a great example of how Disney Dreamlight Valley can be played differently by every fan.
