Investigators determined that an abandoned campfire (built illegally during Stage I fire restrictions) started the Tinder Fire, a wildfire burning in East Clear Creek Canyon in the Coconino National Forest. The Tinder Fire was more than 11,000 acres and 0 percent contained as of Tuesday. Anyone with information about who started the campfire is urged to call Forest Service Law Enforcement.
