The Incredible Hulk and his meek other half, Bruce Banner, have wandered the globe with little to no home to call their own. While the MCU's Bruce Banner remains a cave-dweller, Earth-616's Bruce Banner has been left to wander the roads. However, the gamma heroes once had a top-secret underground base of their own that would make even Batman jealous. Now, if only Bruce could get it back.

It’s practically a dream for the scientist.

Becoming the Hulk has forced Bruce to endure a lifetime’s worth of hardships and trauma, but there is no pain worse to an academic than the inability to work on their craft. It sounds silly, but for decades, Banner has been left to wander the outskirts of civilization. Depending on the Hulk’s behavior or a comic writer’s creative choices, Bruce Banner has been deprived of any semblance of his studious life while the Hulk wanders free. Despite everything Bruce and the Hulk have accomplished as Avengers, not even Tony Stark is willing to lend his fellow genius a hand.

Somewhat frustratingly, the MCU’s Hulk has been relegated to living in caves, despite having saved the universe twice. When Jennifer Walters visits her cousin in the She-Hulk television series, Bruce is still stuck living in jungle caves rather than exploring his scientific work. Frankly, it seems cruel and short-sighted to deprive one of the world’s greatest minds of a space to work on his research. Bruce Banner and the Hulk need a base like this, simply to maintain the day-to-day exhaustion of existing. Back to the comics, Bruce once again finds himself walking an isolated path with no home.

Indestructible Hulk introduced an amazing concept that Marvel has practically avoided like the plague since then. Once Banner and the Hulk finally defeat the eldritch Mother of Horrors in Incredible Hulk, Marvel needs to reconsider bringing back Banner’s old base. It’s been far too long since Bruce Banner could call himself a genuine scientist. If there’s any Marvel hero more deserving of a remote research facility, it’s easily Bruce Banner and the Hulk.
