Jail Time for 2 Men Who Cut Down a Tree at Olympic National Park

Two men who were caught illegally logging a bigleaf maple tree in Olympic National Park in 2013 were sentenced to jail last week (30 days and 60 days) and ordered to pay a $17,533 fine. The men, who were discovered after a witness heard their chainsaws, sold the tree to a local music wood supplier.
