Kennesaw Mountain Teen Heads to Antarctica

Kennesaw Mountain High School’s Michy Ramos, 17, became the first Georgia student to attend Dartmouth College’s Joint Antarctic School Expedition earlier this month. She and three other American teens began the program by studying biology and glaciers in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, then headed to King George Island for field research on seals and penguins, glacier hiking, and igloo camping.
