Leaker Makes Bold Claim With Alleged Titanfall 3 Details

Journalist Jeff Grubb Reports That Titanfall 3 Rumors Are False
On the Giant Bomb show GameBreaking News, reporter Jeff Grubb claimed that recent rumors about a third Titanfall game are untrue.
"Do not expect an Unreal Engine 5, single-player campaign Titanfall 3 with a full multiplayer suite," Grubb said on the show. "I’m not sure where this is coming from. [...] Don’t get your hopes up for Titanfall anytime soon."

A notable leaker is not only claiming that Titanfall 3 exists and is in active development but also revealed several purported details about the supposed new entry in the Titanfall series. Titanfall 3 has been rumored to be coming for a long time, but no official information regarding the title has ever been announced, and a lot of those rumors led nowhere. But given the amount of details of this alleged game coming in from this pretty big Apex Legends leaker, Titanfall 3 may actually be real.
On X, known Apex Legends leaker Osvaldatore posted a lot of alleged information about Titanfall 3, including that the game will run on Unreal Engine 5, the game is almost finished, the game will have a single-player campaign, the game will have battle passes, and more. The main game mode will be called "Extraction," and there will be "classic Titanfall 2 modes," as well as a return of a lot of Apex Legends characters and a weather system. Every leak should be given its due skepticism, but Osvaldatore does have a reputation.

Osvaldatore is best known for sharing a number of accurate leaks for Apex Legends, another big title from Respawn Entertainment. Over on a post on Reddit by Osvaldatore about the apparent Titanfall 3 information, a lot of commenters are asking about the validity of these supposed leaks. Osvaldatore defended previous leaks in the comments, saying: "I've leaked S14 and S20, and was about to fully leak S21 too before a playtest build conveniently leaked around the time I started yapping, I did my damage tho."
Apex Legends Studio Is Reportedly Working On A New Titanfall Game
A new rumor claims Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment is developing a new game in its beloved, but dormant, Titanfall franchise.
The leaker also went a step further and created an Excel spreadsheet of their past leaks and which ones turned out to be true, which ones were false, and which ones were "true-ish." Overall, Osvaldatore has been right a significant amount of the time.
The Wait For A New Titanfall Has Been Agonizing
An Almost 10-Year Wait
Fans have been desperate for a new entry in the Titanfall franchise for almost a decade now. Respawn Entertainment has been busy focusing on the Star Wars Jedi games and on consistent updates to Apex Legends, a massively popular battle royale game that has been ongoing since 2019. Besides a Titanfall 2 character making her way over to Apex Legends, there have only been rumors and speculation about a sequel ever happening.
Titanfall 2 reportedly underperformed financially, despite seeing great critical success, so that is probably why a third game has never materialized. It was reported that only a few people were working on Titanfall after Apex Legends became a big success as well. But with Titanfall 3 allegedly having single-player content and a lot of game modes, and with Apex Legends mostly focused on battle royale multiplayer, there is a place for both titles to co-exist. Only time will tell if these new Titanfall 3 rumors will come true, or if fans will be stuck in limbo for even longer.
