Love Is Blind: Are Ramses Prashad & Marissa George Still Together?

Marissa George and Ramses Prashad seemed like one of the few couples in Love Is Blind season 7 who were destined for a happily ever after, but things took a different turn when the pair ended their relationship before they were married. Ramses, a 35-year-old program associate at a justice and reform non-profit met Marissa, a 32-year-old soon-to-be-lawyer, in the pods, and the two seemed to get along pretty well from the start. The Love Is Blind season 7 cast members from Washington, D.C., had interesting conversations about voting and their military service.

Ramses and Marissa's conversation on the two topics was a point of discussion. The pair had conflicting views, especially on military service, war, and U.S. invasion of other countries. Although the Love Is Blind couple appeared to have hashed out their differences in one of their substantive conversations, their polarizing views greatly affected their relationship ahead of the wedding episodes, leading to their separation.

Ramses' & Marissa's Pod Connection

The Love Is Blind Couple's Energy Was Infectious

Ramses and Marissa had outstanding chemistry in the pods. However, their connection emerged after she was involved in a love triangle with Bohdan Olinares, a 36-year-old tech salesperson. Marissa and Bohdan shared a similar interest - reading - which made the two Love Is Blind participants develop an instant bond. They also had a similar military background, which further deepened their chemistry. However, Marissa said her previous dating history was with military men, a pattern she wanted to break.

This made Marissa start to lean towards her connection with Ramses. He presented a different personality, opened up about his past marriage, and wanted to discuss physical intimacy, a topic Bohdan avoided. Ramses ticked most of Marissa's

boxes, which left an impression on her. Ramses, an immigrant from Venezuela, a country that has had a complicated relationship with the United States, openly admitted he wouldn't be with Marissa if she was still active in the military.

On the other hand, Marissa, who was raised in the military and later joined it, believed in their work and considered herself "very patriotic" but noted she no longer supported most of the things they did. Eventually, Marissa moved on with Ramses, with the Love Is Blind couple getting engaged and later meeting face-to-face. Unlike Leo Braudy, who tried to force Hannah Jiles into accepting his proposal, Bohdan respected Marissa's choice, which was quite refreshing.

Ramses & Marissa Had Different Values

That Wasn't Obvious In The Beginning

Despite their strong connection, Ramses and Marissa viewed life differently. It was crazy to see their development, considering they were one of the Love Is Blind season 7 couples anyone could easily root for. It felt like Ramses and Marissa were a sure thing.

The physical attraction was there; they were spiritual, their conversations were refreshing to watch, and they handled their differences maturely. There were a lot of positives to pick from how Ramses viewed the world. The Love Is Blind star spoke well about American imperialism, and his take on not enforcing strict gender rules at home was very attractive to Marissa (via Love Is Blind Netflix).

"Something I will say about you that I find so attractive is how comfortable you're talking about gender roles. How there's the toxic masculinity and how like you lean away from that."

Then, Ramses showe his true colors, revealing how opposite these two truly were. He started looking more like a villain than when Love Is Blind started. Ramses unlocked a new level of disappointment when he and Marissa talked about their love life. He was worried about her lack of sex drive and didn't care that she was commuting to law school, on her period, or under the weather.

Ramses also wasn't comfortable using condoms because sex was "just not enjoyable" and hoped Marissa would go on birth control. Although birth control has been a game changer, it reacts differently to most women, depending on which method one gets. Some of the symptoms include headaches, nausea, mood changes, and not forgetting the painful IUD insertion process. Ramses proved why most men who join Love Is Blind needed to undergo a thorough sex education seminar first.

Are Ramses & Marissa Still Together?

They Broke Up

Ramses and Marissa broke up in the Love Is Blind season 7 finale. He told Marissa he could no longer "brush things under the rug." Ramses also added that his experience while living with her was a huge contributing factor, which made him wonder if her energy would be "too much" for him. He added that while their time in the pods and vacationing in Cabo was perfect, he didn't see a future with Marissa.

Ramses beat around the bush throughout the Love Is Blind experiment, only for him to later break Marissa's heart. For him to say no at the last minute to someone like Marissa, who never had her guard up since the stint began, just because of her energy, was a slap in the face.

The shocking breakup between Marissa and Ramses was one of the most painful moments of Love Is Blind season 7, and it doesn't look like the former lovebirds will get back together. While speaking to Glamour, Marissa said Ramses made her sound crazy while describing her to his friends. She added her mom was the only person who might have sensed how wrong Ramses was for her. The two still follow one another on Instagram, and it won't be until the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion airs that viewers will know where Ramses and Marissa's relationship stands.

They've Moved On

Since breaking up before their wedding day, both Marissa and Ramses have moved on with their lives. Not too long after Love Is Blind season 7 came to an end, Marissa confirmed she was in a new relationship, announcing her new man in an Instagram post. During an interview with US Weekly in November 2024, Marissa revealed she and her new guy started dating shortly after her split with Ramses but took a break as she was still working through her emotions. The pair officially became a couple in April 2024.

We met at Barcelona in D.C. and we kind of dated a bit, but I was still working through a lot of my emotions [...] We started dating [again] in April.

As for Ramses, he hasn't been super active online since Love Is Blind season 7 wrapped. His Instagram doesn't show evidence of a new girlfriend, but he seems to have moved on from his relationship with Marissa. Ramses was the one to break it off, so Ramses likely moved on more quickly than Marissa did.Ramses did recently attend a party for Hat Club and New Era Cap's new Valentine's Day campaign, which he posted about on February 6. Other than that, Ramses has kept a low profile, especially when it comes to potential relationships.

Since Love Is Blind season 7, Marissa and Ramses have moved away from their time on the show. While Marissa is in a relationship and Ramses is presumably single, they both seem much happier apart than together. Perfect Match season 3 might still be an option for Ramses, but Marissa is happy she won't have to appear on another reality dating show again.

Love Is Blind season 7 is available for streaming on Netflix.
