Love Is Blind Germany Season 1: Which Couples Got Engaged?

The much-awaited Netflix reality series Love Is Blind: Germany season 1 premiered on January 3, 2025, featuring 30 participants, but only five pairs went to Greece for their romantic gateway despite having six engagements. Love Is Blind: Germany is the latest addition to the ever-growing international franchise. This comes after the dramatic Love Is Blind season 7 concluded on October 30, 2024, and Love Is Blind: Habibi, which had some of the most jaw-dropping moments on reality TV. Hosted by Stephanie "Steffi" Brungs and her husband, Christian Wackert, the season saw some participants' hearts get broken while others found love.

The streaming giant released the first four episodes, presenting the speed dating processes and the engagements. While Sally and Medina got engaged in the pods, the couple had one of the most awkward moments upon meeting, similar to Love Is Blind season 7's participants, Leo Braudy and Brittany Wisniewski. It became obvious that Sally was uncomfortable, especially after their strange conversation during their first in-person meet-up. Despite her saying yes to Medina, Sally left. From the moment Alina Rothbauer appeared on Love Is Blind: Germany season 1, it was pretty clear that the 28-year-old was looking for something serious. After all, she had gone through a few failed relationships in the past and was hoping she would find her match in the pods. Therefore, when the account manager connected with Ilias Pappas, a 27-year-old realtor, it seemed like love at first sight. They realized they were both Geminis, thus strengthening their bond.

The two only grew closer as they shared the same beliefs, liked each other's choices, and had the same values, which was a perfect recipe for creating a strong foundation. Their chemistry seemed incredible, but things changed when Ilias met his former date in the pods, Hanni Hase, with whom they ended up getting pretty flirtatious. Tolga and Shila Hemati were instantly drawn to each other during their interactions in Love Is Blind: Germany pods. They loved each other's confidence, enjoyed their deep conversations, and were both excited about the journey ahead. Before joining Love Is Blind: Germany season 1, Shila had been single for a decade. While reflecting on her past relationship, the Love Is Blind: Germany cast member shared how much she had sacrificed for her previous relationship, and promised to never compromise herself when that relationship ended.

Therefore, after connecting with Tolga in the pods, it was easy for Shila to open up about her work and the life she had built for him. Despite being what he wanted in a partner, Tolga also had a connection with another contestant, Hannah, making Shila uneasy. Eventually, Tolga proposed to Shila. While in Greece, Shila shared with the girls that she was excited about their future together. On the other hand, Tolga expressed his uncertainty in their relationship, adding that he felt suffocated. He also inquired about Hannah, expressing his curiosity about knowing what she looked like.

Shella Oire & Pascal

Their Relationship Looks Promising

From the beginning of their interactions on Love Is Blind: Germany, Shella Oire and Pascal's journey was marked by candid conversations and mutual respect for one another. Having experienced infidelity in her previous relationship, Shella was open to Pascal about her cautious approach towards love. The Love Is Blind: Germany season 1 participant also expressed that he was, in most cases, reserved.

Pascal further expressed his desire to find someone who helped him break down the walls. The two look up to their parents, hoping to emulate their values in their relationship. 27-year-old real estate agent Hanni Hase was excited to be a part of Love Is Blind: Germany. Hanni met Daniel Rocco, a 25-year-old business consultant, whose humor made her fall in love with him within their first few interactions. She was also impressed by Danel's quick banter and his ingenuousness. When joining the Love Is Blind: Germany cast, Hanni intended to open up to someone without ever meeting them. Hanni was caught multiple times flirting with her former Love Is Blind: Germany connection, Ilias. It seems like some drama between the two is brewing in the upcoming episodes.

Jennifer "Jen" Zengel & Marcel Braun

They Are The Most Compatible Couple

Jennifer "Jen" Zengel and Marcel Braun connected over their shared passions for meditation and spirituality. Overall, the Love Is Blind: Germanypair shared similar ideas about what a relationship should be. Marcel introduced himself as a man guided by strong values. He is vegan, prefers sustainable clothes, and is also a firm believer in meditation. With Jen revealing that she also enjoyed meditation, their connection formed almost instantly. Jen added that she had been single for over 10 years, as she had developed a habit of being emotionally guarded.

On the other hand, Marcel talked about his difficult upbringing. His dad left before he was born, and he was raised by a single mom who later got into legal trouble, resulting in him being brought up in a foster home. Sharing their personal stories created a sense of deep connection, trust, and confidence that their relationship would work out.
