Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser hit it off after their first interaction in the pods, and no one would have predicted that this solid couple would be on the verge of a breakup as Love Is Blind season 7 approached the end. By the time the pod-dating segment was finishing, there were seven engagements. However, Love Is Blind cameras didn't follow the stand-out pair this season - Leo Braudy and Brittany Wisniewsky - leaving six to pursue their journey. The connection deepened after their meetup. By all records, Tyler was the best man on the show. He was gentle, well-spoken, kind, and often prayed for the couple and their families (via Love Is Blind Netflix). Little did the Love Is Blind audience and Ashley know that Tyler was leading a double life, and this has made many question the Love Is Blind vetting process for the contestants.

Tyler’s Shocking Revelation

Love Is Blind season 7 already had its villain—Leo, who often talked about his wealth yet didn't want women to like him for that reason. Tyler's personality and image would never have matched the villainous character that came out later. He seemed perfect, and so did his relationship with Ashley. The Love Is Blind pair complemented one another, and eternal bliss was inevitably at that table. Episode 9 started with Tyler and Ashley having a lighthearted conversation about children.

Later, Tyler revealed shocking news about his past—he has three kids. Ashley didn't know about it until after the proposal, leaving her shell-shocked and confused about whether continuing their relationship was worth it. Recently, Tyler spoke to E! News and said he regretted nothing about this ordeal. The Love Is Blind cast member said he was glad he kept it a secret until after proposing to Ashley. In his defense, Tyler feared being judged based on his skin color.

"I tried to keep away from it because that was a big issue. I've been judged based off being light-skinned. Being cheaters and liars - all these things you get with being light-skinned. "

Being light-skinned isn't indicative of cheating in any way, shape, or form. Cheating stems from an individual's personality, life circumstances, and relationship dynamics, and all these factors are far from one's skin tone. For Tyler to use that as an excuse shows how he's detached from reality and doesn't want to accept he was in the wrong for not revealing his past to Ashley earlier.

What's more, is that Tyler's baby mama came forward to announce that Tyler was active in his children's lives, but did not denote how the children were conceived.

Now, things have gotten messy, as Tyler allegedly owes child support, and there is an ongoing custody battle.

Tyler obviously deleted his kids off his social media before Love Is Blind, making the whole situation shady. However, Ashley claimed to know the real truth at the reunion, and Tyler was barely questioned about the murky situation.

After Tyler spoke to Ashley about his sperm donation, she said she wished he told her before the proposal. Ashley previously said nothing would make her change her mind about Tyler. There were points when Ashley seemed unsure about what the future held, and rightfully so. She should question her fiancé more about the legitimacy of their relationship and how to build trust should they move forward.

Ashley seemed calm and had no problem with Tyler being a sperm donor. Her most outstanding issue was he didn't tell her earlier. Even though Tyler came out clean, it was perhaps a little too late. Nonetheless, there is no specific formula for gauging how certain lies impact the dynamics between couples.

However, Ashley disregarded those notions at the altar. Ashley and Tyler married during the finale, and they were still together and showing off their relationship at the reunion. However, that all came crashing down in January 2025. Tyler and Ashley both confirmed then that they had split after just over a year of marriage.

"I take full accountability for my role in the difficulties we faced, and I respect Ashley's decision to move forward in a way that prioritizes her peace and happiness."

Ashley indicated that they had been separated for several weeks before their official split.

Tyler and Ashley's Love Is Blind journey seemed promising, but Tyler's suspect actions and dubious nature got the better of them. Neither party gave an exact reason as to why they broke up, so it's hard to deduce if there are hard feelings. But in regards to that, the pair do not follow each other on Instagram.
