Love Is Blind season 8, which has been met with difficult reviews as it’s rolled out in the last few weeks, has been driving a different type of drama for viewers. While cast members like Taylor and Daniel have been featured heavily in the pods, their first face-to-face meeting caused a fallout of epic proportions on screen.
It was clear that Taylor was overwhelmed during the reveal of her Love Is Blind fiancé Daniel, but after meeting him, the 32-year-old became concerned that Daniel had seen her before. After accusing her new fiancé of having followed her on Instagram in the past, Taylor was given her phone to try and identify whether Daniel had, in fact, followed her before. While Taylor was visibly uncomfortable and shared she was concerned that their connection wasn’t as genuine as she believed, she opened up toEntertainment Weeklyabout the incident, revealing she was “overthinking” in the moment due to lingering insecurities.
“I thought to myself, 'Taylor, what are you doing?'’...I think with insecurities from past relationships and too much overthinking on my end, that's exactly what I was doing,” Taylor revealed, explaining that she felt like she was brought “back down to earth” while sitting across from Daniel and scrolling through her phone. Sharing that the incident was difficult in the moment, Taylor explained that having some conflict in their relationship helped give her a better perspective of who Daniel is moving forward. “To have that situation happen…did give us a lot of momentum and confidence,” Taylor explained.
Though Taylor and Daniel are still getting to know each other, the pair have a foundation for problem-solving.
