Marvel Rivals Developer Interview Discusses Major Long-Term Feature Fans Can Get Excited About
NetEase has revealed big things coming to Marvel Rivals, including the addition of one new hero every month and a half to keep fans engaged and coming back for more. With titles such as Overwatch bringing new characters every so often, this move by NetEase could prove to be very fruitful. Fans are excited to see what heroes they introduce over time, and can't wait to see the new toolkits that come along with them.
In an exclusive interview with Metro Co Uk, NetEase goes into detail about how they plan on making a "hit live-service title", which included the revelation of a substantial number of new heroes coming to the Marvel Rivals roster. This is not all they discussed, though, as there was plenty of information shared by the developers during the interview. More so, fans of the title took to Reddit to discuss their thoughts on what NetEase shared, and most of it is extremely positive.

More Details Shared On What's To Come
During the interview, the developers discussed several hot topics regarding Marvel Rivals, including the possibility of a role queue being added. Fans have requested that a role queue be added to the title, but it seems that the devs are not changing their minds about their decision to keep it out of Rivals. NetEase states,
"Post-launch, people have been exploring an indefinite amount of team compositions, and we’re excited about what’s coming, we believe no role queue will lead to a richer gaming experience for everyone."
More so, NetEase says they are shocked by the number of Jeff the Land Shark memes and videos popping up all over social media, as well as Spider-Man blocking Iron Man's ultimate ability with the use of webs. They also discuss balance, as they claim they want players to enjoy the game in their own way, and rather than only looking at analytics from ranked matches or quickplay, they are going to look at the bigger picture of how certain heroes are either overpowered or lacking the oomph to bring the team to victory.
The More, The Merrier, As Players Can't Get Enough Of New Marvel Rivals Heroes
New Heroes Bring In More Players
The idea of bringing more heroes to the game has fans excited, and a recent Reddit post by AsPeHeat garnered a lot of attention. Some of the commenters highlighted the fact that Overwatch is lacking in the character department, as each one has to be completely unique. Fans, such as Snoo-2013 want more Vanguard and Strategist options to be added, and user thereal237 states, "Honestly that sounds great. I just hope they start prioritizing vanguards and strategists because we need them the most."
Having launched just a short time ago, Marvel Rivalshas already broken a few records and has generated a lot of clout. It will be interesting to see where the game goes from here and how successful it becomes over time.
