Marvel Rivals Fans Think This Strategist Needs A Nerf, But Others Think It Isn't As "Broken" As You May Think

Marvel Rivalsfans are begging for a nerf to Luna Snow, as her ultimate duration seems like it lasts a bit too long. While there are several game-changing ultimates in Rivals, including Cloak and Dagger's, Punisher's, and even Mantis's, almost none compare to Luna Snow, as 12 seconds of invulnerability for her entire team seems a bit too long for some fans.

Luna Snow has a pretty hefty win rate, coming in at just over 50% at the time of writing, and that could be due to her ultimate ability being somewhat broken, fans claim. A recent Reddit post from extremerick11 has garnered a lot of attention, as players think that the ultimate's duration should be less than 12 seconds.

Luna Snow Might Hold Too Much Power In Marvel Rivals

Ice Up!

Luna Snow's ultimate ability is called "Fate Of Both Worlds" and for 12 seconds, players within the circle are almost completely unkillable. Of course there are a few ultimates that can negate Luna's, but if used at the right time, the team with Luna becomes an unstoppable force. User bigpurpleharness brought up a valid point on the Reddit thread, as they state, "Lunas ult charges too quickly, lasts too long and carries too little risk. Honestly just make her CCable during it."They also point out that Mantis can be CC'ed out of her ultimate, but Luna cannot.

Commenter RaevynVexus does mention that Mantis can attack during her ultimate, while Luna can only dance around, which could be why Mantis can be CC'ed but Luna remains unstoppable. The fix for Luna's intolerable dancing ult seems to be simple, as fans think that simply lowering the duration or making her CC-able during would help make things feel more balanced and fair.

Our Take: Luna's Ult Is Annoying, But Can Be Countered

There Are A Few Abilities That Can Stop Luna In Her Tracks

While the ultimate might be annoying, there are a few heroes that can stop Luna mid-ultimate. Iron Man's "Maximum Pulse", also known as the Invincible Pulse Cannon ability, can drop Luna during her ult like a sack of potatoes. Peni Parker, Hawkeye, and Magneto can stop Luna during her ultimate if they hit just right, but these are not guaranteed.

Iron Man and Punisher are currently the only two heroes that can, without a doubt, stop Luna during the Fate Of Both Worlds ability, so using them to clutch when necessary is the best bet. While several heroes have gotten buffed and nerfed in season one, it will be interesting to see who the developers choose next when it comes to fixes. For now, fall back when you hear a Luna ult, in Marvel Rivals unless you're Iron Man.
