Marvel Rivals: Galacta's Cosmic Adventure Event Guide

Marvel Rivalshas just introduced a new special event that is now live, known as Galacta's Cosmic Adventure. The event challenge takes what we know about a board game and turns it upside down, as you will need to collect a unique new currency to obtain dice rolls and traverse the board. As you make your way around the board, there will be several different rewards to collect if luck is on your side, with the final one being the new Mrs. Barnes Black Widow Skin.

Initially, it was thought that as you passed each space on the game board, you would collect each of the rewards. This is not the case, as you will only be able to collect rewards from the space you land on, making it a bit tricky to collect all of them in one go-around.

Galacta's Cosmic Adventure is already underway and appears to last for approximately 33 days, according to the in-game timer. The Marvel Rivals wiki states that the event is set to end on April 11, which aligns with the in-game timer. For reference, Jeff's Winter Splash Festival lasted for 20 days, meaning this time around, fans will have much more time to acquire each reward seen on the board.

Clone Rumble, the new game mode released alongside Galacta's Cosmic Adventure, will last until March 24, becoming available for short periods during that time frame. One thing worth noting is that within the in-game guide for the event, it mentions that after a certain amount of time has passed, a mystery reward will be revealed. This mystery reward will become available on March 31, and there have been hints at the possibility of a new Hero being introduced, but this new Hero reward has yet to be confirmed by NetEase. Hopefully, the developers will reveal more information about this unknown item, skin, or whatever it may be before the countdown ends.

Galacta's Cosmic Adventure Game Board in Marvel Rivals

A special game board will be available throughout the entire duration of Galacta's Cosmic Adventure and can be accessed through the home page within Marvel Rivals. There will be special missions, which can be found in the "Season" tab and then by selecting "Missions", that are specifically tailored for this event and mostly revolve around the Clone Rumble Game mode. The [Event] Galacta's Cosmic Adventure section is home to each of the missions you must complete to earn the special new currency, Galacta's Power Cosmic.

Outside of missions and challenges, you will earn one die roll every 48 hours, and each time you earn 30 Galacta's Power Cosmic, you will receive one free die roll to claim.

There are other challenges strewn around the regular daily ones that can bag you a bit of extra currency as well, so be sure to check all the mission tabs to make the most of your time during the event. After acquiring Galacta's Power Cosmic, you will infuse the Chrono-Crystal, which is just the name of the dice used for the board-game rolls, with Galacta's Power Cosmic to generate a random number.

The highest number you can roll is a four, and whichever number (1-4) the dice lands on is how many spaces Galacta moves. Each space you land on has a different reward to claim, and those you pass by will grant you nothing.

There are a total of 24 rewards to claim on the Galacta's Cosmic Adventure board, and claiming all of them will unlock the "One Small Step" Gallery Card reward located in the center of the map. Here is a list of every reward you can claim on the board:

There are a total of 220 units to collect if you happen to go around the board enough to land on every space. Within the Missions tab, you might notice that new challenges to acquire more rolls are locked for several days. This means that you will not be able to simply play constantly and earn all the rewards in one go, as we saw in the Clash of Dancing Lions event, which let you earn paint pretty consistently.

The Mrs. Barnes skin is connected to the Clone Rumble event in Marvel Rivals. It's best to get it on the weekend, but can be obtained slowly later on.

Of course, the most coveted reward from this event is the Black Widow Mrs. Barnes skin, even though not many of us use her as often as we might want to. The skin goes deeper in terms of lore than some may expect, as Black Widow and Winter Soldier have an entire love story from the comics that most aren't privy to. This new costume seems to be a gentle nod to their romance, as she carries Bucky's name while she serves a different kind of justice than Winter Soldier does.

Overall, the latest event seems to be quite fun in Marvel Rivals, with a lot of rewards to claim. Plus, it is always a good thing to receive free units to put towards other skins for those who choose to play without paying a penny. The Clone Rumble game mode creates nothing but pure chaos, which fans seem to like more than the Dancing Lions Event, which became mostly about chasing down Star Lord non-stop to no avail. For now, we can just collect as many rewards as we can before time runs out on Galacta's Cosmic Adventure.
