Marvel Animation is set to break an MCU TV show record for the second time with the upcoming release of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Set in an alternate reality across the MCU's multiverse, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will detail the origin story of Hudson Thames' Peter Parker as Spider-Man, exploring a narrative the live-action MCU hasn't touched, with a few twists. Set to premiere on January 29, 2025, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is the MCU's next installment, and it's expected to break one major Marvel record.
Hudson Thames previously voiced Peter Parker's Spider-Man in What If...?, but will get the chance to develop a new iteration of the iconic Marvel wall-crawler from scratch in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Instead of Tony Stark becoming Peter Parker's mentor, Colman Domingo's Norman Osborn will fill this role, bringing an entirely new dynamic to the upcoming Multiverse Saga series. This will create many interesting storylines that Marvel can explore in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and these stories will unfold over a whopping ten episodes.

It's possible the series will follow in the footsteps of other MCU shows, and kick off with a double-premiere on January 29, before then reverting to a weekly release. The first trailer for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man shows off the series' unique animation style, differing from anything Marvel Studios has done before, and has put some of the series' most-anticipated twists front-and-center. By including ten episodes, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man breaks an MCU series record that only one other show has touched.

X-Men '97 Season 1 Released 10 Episodes Between March 20 & May 15, 2024
The only other Marvel Studios TV show that has comprised ten episodes is 2024's X-Men '97 season 1. Every live-action series released on Disney+ has included nine or fewer episodes, making X-Men '97 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man the longest shows in the MCU, though Loki and What If...? have spanned for multiple seasons, increasing their episode count. This record is expected to be broken by Wonder Man, releasing in December 2025, which will be the first live-action MCU series to include ten episodes.
