Moana, Minions & 5 More Animated Movies Dominated 2024's Movie Streaming Chart

Moana and Minions are among the seven animated movies that dominate the streaming charts for 2024. From Inside Out 2 to The Wild Robot, many of 2024's animated movies proved to be critical and commercial successes. In addition to performing well in theaters, popular animated movies have a tendency to perform well on streaming platforms, both when it comes to newer releases, and older ones that continue to have enduring appeal.

According to Luminate, seven out of the top 10 most-watched original and acquired movies in 2024 were animated. Moana tops the list, which also includes Trolls Band Together, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Minions, Cars, Inside Out 2, and Encanto. The only one of these movies to release in 2024 is Inside Out 2, as all the others were released in the past two decades, with Cars being the oldest movie on the list with its 2006 debut. The only non-animated movies in the top 10 are Oppenheimer, Carry-On, and The Equalizer 3. Check out the list below:
