After huge demand overwhelmed the online system last month, a new vendor is ready for business Monday morning.

On February 1, 11,000 people tried to buy an online permit to hike Mt. St. Helens–three times more than last year–overwhelming the system and forcing a sales shutdown. As of Monday, permits are back on sale with a new online vendor. A percentage of permits will no longer be held back for later purchase this time, so now’s the time: Permits for many popular times, including summer weekends and Mother’s Day weekend, are still available.
