My Hero Academia Drops Disappointing New Detail About Its Next Epilogue Chapter
My Hero Academia fans were thrilled to hear that the upcoming databook, My Hero Academia Ultra Ages, would include another bonus epilogue chapter. However, new details have revealed this bonus epilogue will be rather short, clocking in at a mere 5 pages.
The databook was announced back in February alongside an artbook, with a May 2, 2025, release date. It's announced to have data on over a hundred characters, including information about their Quirks, special moves, and power ratings. Most excitingly, it features Deku's new power suit from the end of the manga on the front cover, hinting that it may reveal what the suit is fully capable of in its pages. However, it's easy to say that the included epilogue was a major draw for fans, and learning that the new chapter will be an extremely short one has some fans feeling disappointed.
My Hero Academia's Final Epilogue Will Be Brief
At Just 5 Pages, the Ultra Age Epilogue Won't Cover Much
While fans still don't know exactly what the bonus epilogue will be about, a message from the official My Hero Academia X (Formerly Twitter) account revealed that the epilogue would be only five pages, suggesting it won't have the space to cover much. While a tad disappointing, this is pretty consistent with previous databooks; the Ultra Archive book had a brief, 6-page bonus focusing on Bakugo and Uraraka, for example. That chapter featured a slight expansion of the Final Exams arc, with Uraraka confronting Bakugo over his cruelty towards Deku.
Many fans are hoping that the bonus mini comic will have to do with Deku trying out his new suit, giving fans a better idea of what it can do, while others are hoping that the chapter will instead deal further with Deku and Ochaco's relationship. With only a few pages, though, it's hard to guess just what exactly the story might be. It seems almost guaranteed that it will be set in the post-timeskip, adult period of the epilogue, and while those are both good guesses as to what it could be, neither can be confirmed at this time.
Is There Likely to Be More My Hero Academia Content After This?
Ultra Age's Bonus Chapter May Be My Hero Academia's Last
At the moment, there's no reason to expect any further bonus chapters of My Hero Academia to be released any time soon. That doesn't mean that's all forever, however; Naruto and Bleach have both had chapters released since the end of their series, and there's always the possibility of one-shots at some point down the line. My Hero Academia's world is set up such that new content could be added to it at any time with minimal disruption. There's even been some hopeful speculation about a movie set after the series' finale, focusing on adult Deku and his friends, though there's no evidence to support it at the moment.
As short as it may be, fans can still be excited to get one last important glimpse at the world of My Hero Academia.
