My Life Is Murder Season 5, Will It Happen? Everything We Know
My Life is Murder season 5 is the next chapter in the Australian-New Zealand murder mystery dramedy, but news has been slow to arrive. The crime comedy My Life is Murder began streaming on Acorn TV in 2019, and since then, there have been three more seasons of the show with the last episode of season 4 premiering on June 9, 2024. My Life is Murder follows the adventures of Alexa Crowe (Lucy Lawless), a private investigator and former detective with the Victoria Police Criminal Investigation Branch in Victoria, Australia.
In her free time, and to earn a little money, Alexa also bakes bread to sell at a local cafe. In season 2, Victoria ends up moving to Auckland in New Zealand to be closer to her brother Will (Martin Henderson) and shifting the setting of the series. Charming, lighthearted, and intriguing at the same time with its clever mysteries and cases, My Life is Murder has been an enjoyable ride every year it premiered. Season 4 ended in June 2024, and fans are still waiting to hear what will be happening for My Life is Murder season 5.

There Have Been No Updates Since Season 4 Ended
There has been no news about My Life is Murder season 5 from anyone involved, including the studio, the cast, and the crew. Even the Instagram page has not posted since July 2024. Since the show premiered, there's been a season within two years and with the previous season only ending less than a year ago, it's not entirely unusual that there's been no news. Season 4 was only announced a few months before the show premiered so it's possible My Life is Murder season 5 is in production but no one is revealing any information just yet (via AMCNetworks).

My Life Is Murder Season 5 Story Details
Season 5 Could Go In Any Direction
The story details for My Life is Murder season 5 are currently unknown, and it's not easy to guess where the series will go next based on the end of season 4. Alexa has been dealing with the fallout of her husband's death for four seasons, and for the most part, has been dealing with it well. Then at the end of season 4, she joined a golf club with her brother only to discover her husband's killer, Ray (Rodger Corser), is also a member.
A lot of emotions hit Alexa at once, the foremost of which is anger that her husband is dead while his killer is allowed to walk around. However, when Ray turns up dead, Alexa becomes the chief suspect. Of course, it wasn't her but the whole situation, including a confrontation between her and Ray, exorcised a lot of Alexa's demons. She could be a very different character now and if there is a My Life is Murder season 5, Alexa could have a whole new outlook on life.
