After state officials opened an investigation into Nestle’s withdrawal of millions of gallons of water from the San Bernardino National Forest for its Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water brand, Nestle argued that its water use falls within legal limits. Nestle says it has rights to 271 acre-feet of water in Strawberry Canyon. The state water board will consider Nestle’s comments as it decides whether to revise its initial water report.
