NetEase Has Revealed "More Crossover" Events Are Coming to Marvel Rivals, & Highly Competitive Players Could Be Getting Something Huge

NetEase has announced that there are crossover events in the works, which has fans theorizing which Marvel Rivalsheroes might be seen in other popular titles. Marvel Rivals is still at the top of the charts in terms of player base, even a few months post-launch. NetEase can easily see that this title is a smash hit and wants to further expand on the title to keep the momentum going for as long as possible.

In a recent earnings call shared by Yahoo Finance, NetEase gave fans a bit of insight into what comes next for Marvel Rivals, including more crossover promotions with other media that will "expand" the user base. While details of this revelation are still muddy, fans already have their hopes high for seeing their favorite heroes in other titles such as Fortnite.

Marvel Rivals Crossover Events Are In The Works

NetEase Has Not Gone Into Detail About What That Entails At This Time

Marvel Rivals is one of the most popular titles on the market at the time of writing, keeping concurrent player counts in the high hundreds of thousands 24 hours a day. While they have had a few hiccups along the way, as most video games do, they maintain a pretty good balance between positive and negative feedback. During the earnings call Q&A session, NetEase states,

Marvel Rivals has gained wide acclaim, especially after Season 1. NetEase plans to continue investing in development and marketing, with a long-term operational strategy. The team has plans for eSports and will announce these plans to enhance the gaming ecosystem. There will also be crossover events and promotions with other media to expand the user base

While this new information doesn't expand on the crossovers, it does mention eSports being introduced, which could be huge for highly competitive players. There is no set timeline as to when these plans will come to fruition, but it appears that fans are already theorizing where NetEase could be branching out to.

A recent Reddit thread by xolovelee has garnered quite a bit of attention over the past 21 hours. User vivianvisionsburner writes, "I think every MCU movie will have a bundle from now on, likely with an actual reskin included. Galacta and/or Luna Snow in Fortnite." Others chime in about who they would snatch up in a heartbeat, such as Galacta or Squirrel Girl, if they became available in Fortnite.

When Daredevil gets added to Marvel Rivals, what should his class and abilities be?

When Daredevil gets added to Marvel Rivals (which he most certainly one day will), I think he'd be great as either a DPS or Strategist. I think he should have a passive radius where he can "see" opponents through walls and obstacles within a certain radius, and I think he should have some sort of mobility with his billy clubs, not unlike Spider-Man's webslinging (though perhaps not as strong or frequent). It would also be cool if his ultimate ability was throwing his batons so they ricochet and hit multiple targets.

The consensus here, though, is that NetEase is not talking about bringing other titles to Marvel Rivalsor vice versa. They are most likely referring to crossover events with other Marvel games and movies. It is worth nothing that none of this has been confirmed by the devs at this time, and it is pure speculation from fans. For now, Marvel Rivals fans can continue to enjoy all that the title has to offer, including the new heroes, events, and rewards to collect.
