A brand-new, 1.25-mile connector trail between Whalon Lake in Will County and Greene Valley Forest Preserve in DuPage County opened last Friday, expanding hiking, biking, and running options in the area. Locals say the link makes exploring the area’s trail networks safer by eliminating the need to cross major roads.
