New Re:Zero Season 3 Trailer Brings the Anime's Next Big Arc to Life: Watch
With less than a month until the return of the isekai legend Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World season 3 part 2, a new trailer has been unveiled, as well as a sneak peek into the first episode of the season. Everything is finally coming together into this action-packed arc, and the set-up in the first part will finally have its payoff.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Re:Zero anime released a trailer for the second part titled the Counterattack Arc, and episode 9 of the season, which is scheduled to start airing on February 5, 2025, for 8 episodes. Episode 8 concluded on November 20, and the second portion of this season is one of winter 2025's most anticipated anime.
Re:Zero Will Be Jumping Straight Into The Action
The Heroes Will Finally Begin Their Counterattack
Covering Arc 5 of the light novel, which is titled The Stars That Engrave History, the trailer shows Subaru and Reinhard teaming up against the Sin Archbishop of Greed, Regulus, to crash the wedding and save Emilia. Meanwhile, Subaru's friends, Liliana and Priscilla take on the Sin Archbishop of Wrath, Ricardo and Julius fave off against the Sin Archbishop of Greed, and Garfiel and Wilhem battle the Sin Archbishop of Lust. With the coordinated battles on multiple fronts, the Counterattack arc will be the most exciting season of the series so far.
Masaharu Watanabe continues as the director, maintaining his role from previous anime seasons. Masahiro Yokotani will again oversee series composition, while Kyuta Sakai returns as character designer and chief animation director. Kenichiro Suehiro, known for Undead Unluck and Suicide Squad ISEKAI, will handle the music. The original cast is set to return, ensuring consistency in the characters’ voices. Fans are also eagerly awaiting the announcement of the voice actors for the new characters, which is expected soon.

While fans were a bit displeased that the season was split up like this with multiple months of a break, the wait will be more than worth it. Not only is the season going to be mostly action-centered, but there will be many shocking reveals for those who haven't read the light novels yet. Furthermore, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World is also scheduled for the red stage of Anime Japan 2025, which is exclusively for the biggest and most exciting news out of that event, so there is a lot to look forward to on top of this exciting news.
